My least favorite by far was the whole "Chester is really Danny's father" crapola. Any sane person knows Mary would never have done anything like that to her sister. That caused such a huge rift between them - and let's face it, Jessica and Mary were the soul of the show. When you rip that apart, no wonder the ratings started to decline.

Just about anything that occured in the last season.

Jessica being held captive by El Puerco
Chester is Danny's real father
Mary turning into an idiotic drunk
Chester marrying Eunice's friend
Jody miraculously is heterosexual
The Wendy kidnapping etc....

I have got to agree with you here. EVERYTHING about the last season was bad, especially the stuff with Danny being Chester's son, Jessica/Mary at odds, and Mary/Burt having all the troubles they had in their marriage. I haven't a very good recollection of details of the last season, since I haven't seen it in years (I plan on buying the 4th season DVD), but I do remember Mary and Burt's marriage crumbling.

After watching season four for the first time in years, I'd probably say Jodie being hypnotized into thinking he's an old Jewish guy is the worst of the worst. It was like he was channeling the Barney Gerber character from the hospital when he went for the sex change. Very irritating. Jodie was a seriously confused young man.

I was not too crazy about the Revolution storyline. I just finished watching the first three seasons and am on season 4 from the columbia house collection and did not like the Chester being Danny's father storyline. Very shocking and moving which was good. There was very good acting between the Cathryn/Katherine women in this storyline but it just messed with the time line of the show. If I were in charge, I would have said "no" to that idea. I love Jodie becoming heterosexual. I'll post my likes about the show on the topic listed.

Am I the only one who found the Chester is Danny's father thing sort of interesting? IMO, that was the highlight of the last season. I hated El Puerco.

The last season was very bad. But my first least favorite storyline was when they turned Billy's teacher Leslie into a neurotic would-be killer. What a rotten twist! She and Billy's relationship was so sweet. And the whole family was curious about her when they all met. But then she did an abrupt turn and became unstable and nobody gave her a thought! Bad scripting

Definitely Corinne & Eunnice fighting over Dutch. I wish they would have kept Corinne with Timothy Flotsky!!! I also wish they hadn't killed off Elaine

I'd have to say just about everything in the last season.

P.S.
Didn't Susan Harris let some one else do the writing for the last season?

I'm watching the last season now and I can't help but think they must have just gone crazy and pulled out all the stops since they knew it was the last season. Like "Let's see how outrageous we can be" and go out with a bang, or something like that. Definitely doesn't compare with the earrlier stuff!

I gotta go with Jodie turning hetero in the last season. THat completely undermined the entire point of the character in the first place, and what little credibility he had was shattered with the hypnotism gimmick at the end.

But S4 had a lot of bad storylines througout.

I didn't mind the revolution because El Porko was a good character.

Danny also had a pretty crappy S4. Him getting with a prostitute, and then with Chester's new wife was pretty bad, on top of him turning out to be Chester's son.

I liked the storyline when Jodie went straight. It is one of my faves. Least fave was when Corrine lost out to Eunice (the brat) for Dutch's affections. Eunice cheated on the dude and then left him to be with someone else. Maybe Corrine did not deserve to get caught up in that drama.

Elaine dying was a touching moment but I wish that it did not happen.
