Default Amy Bradley Case - Theories??

Anyone have theories on this case. She was the young girl who went missing on the cruise liner. Her father saw her sleeping out on the deck of their cabin and then she simply vanished.

This might sound silly, but i was just on a cruise a few months ago with a deck to my room. Now we partied up a storm most nights and drank a lot. Apparently Amy and her brother were drinking that night and she was a smoker.

My feeling is that she came back to the cabin drunk, went out on the deck to have a cigarette and passed out. She awoke to have another cigarette and somehow dropped or kicked the cigarette under the wall parts that break up the cabins (there is a space under each one). Being drunk she decided to climb over the railing onto the other deck and somehow fell off the ship.

I don't believe she was kidnapped. This theroy makes sense in that the only thing missing was her cigarettes and she did not even have shoes on. I would not of left my room without shoes on.

Anyone have any other ideas??? It has always bothered me they cannot solve this case. There was also another case of this happeneing to a guy and the same thing - he was drinking and went to go get some air and vanished.

Alcohol can make you much more daring to try things and can even cause you to do things while not thinking....

This case has always bothered me too. I write to her mother Iva often. But there are no recent updates. I DONT think she climbed over the railing for any reason let alone a cigarette. Amy was afraid of heights, and her brother Brad had to convince her to go to the edge and look at the water from the begining of the cruise. Even if Amy had fallen overboard, her body would have been found. They did an extensive search of the waters where the ship had been and the surrounding area and never found anything. If there was a real possibility that Amy fell over board, the FBI wouldnt be involved in the case.
Sometime last year, or 2002 there was a sighting of a women fitting Amys description in San Francisco CA. she was with two men, who seemed to be "holding her against her will." When a women started looking at them suspiciously they fled the area. The men are now being sought by the FBI for questioning.
The whole case is very strange. BUT there is certain areas of the country near where the ships route was to pass, where young, women are taken for slavery. There are several stories on this on the internet.
I hope this case is solved one day. Whatever has happened to her, I hope that closure comes to the family soon.

I think the theory that she fell overboard with the cigarettes is a great one actually! I do think it is certainly possible she met with foul play, but it is equally if not more likely that she simply had a tragic accident.

I disagree with the somewhat irrational notion that she couldn't have fallen overboard because she was afraid of heights or because her body wasn't found. First of all, Amy's brother has repeatedly stated in interviews, etc, that they had been drinking very heavily at a nightclub the night she vanished; obviously being drunk reduces inhibitions, so fear might have been reduced or nonexistent. Secondly, I think the idea that her body would have been found several hours after the incident, in the vast Carribean Sea, somewhat preposterous. I mean, enormous ships vanish at sea, and we're talking about a petite woman.

Finally, the "eyewitness" accounts are always sketchy at best. They have taken place years (sometimes as much as 8) after the fact, and, as we all know from watching UM segments, are notoriously unreliable.

I am not saying there isn't the possibility that she met with foul play, but it seems like some people are convinced she did not have an accident, and there is simply not enough evidence to say that. I feel that falling overboard (which happens all the time on cruise ships) is a distinct possibility.

I feel horrible for her parents though, and hope they find peace somehow.

While I agree with the accident theory.

It should be pointed out that she very easily could have been killed and her body thrown overboard. Rape/murder is difficult to do in a cabin on a boat without making noise. Perhaps there was some other place on the ship that would afford the opportunity for a rape/murder.

There's no evidence to suggest anything. Murder, accident or suicide are equally possible.

All we know is that she's missing. That's it.

The fact that that it occurs on a boat leaves the unfortunate possibility that the body is lost at sea.

1. If Amy died falling overboard..that will never be proved. Her body is gone. It will stay an Unsolved Mystery forever.
2. If she was murdered on board, the body was most likely disposed of at sea. There will in all likelihood be no evidence to prosecute anyone. The killer would have gotten away with murder.
3. The only way this case gets solved is if she was kidnapped and is held for prostitution. Amy can be found if she's out there.

I sympathize with the parents, but they only have two choices
1. Accept that this case is unsolvable.
2. Committ to a vast search through the global underworld in hopes of rescuing her. This is the only way this case gets's solved.

Some investigators see similar things between Amy Bradkey Case and Natakee Holloway case.

One of the suspects even confessed she was sold into slavery he quicky recanted i believe him when he said that

1. One similarity between the 2 cases the boat Amy was on made brief stop on Caracao when they docked there.

2.Natalee was on vacation there when she disappeared

3. Some have said that the bar Natalee was at is a Mecca for White Slavery Transactions and many women who visit the island are drugged by the bartender or others and quickly taken advantage of

I've seen the pictures and head the eyewitness from the sailor. Why would he lie? He hasnt asked for anything. I dunno. I wanna believe she fell overboard. It makes the most sense, but there are so many weird cases out there.
