Default Only 21 and i Addicted to Sanford and SOn!

Well i guess this is a good first post. I of course wasnt around when the show was on TV. I dont think i can even remeber how i started watching the show. But for the last few years i have watched it on tv and waited for it to come on all the time 1 show at a time . And i only know Redd Foxx through the show. Ever since the DVDs have come out its been a dream come true. I own 1-5 and i watch them in order and start over again i love the show. I watch them over and over. IT makes me laugh so hard. Some of my freinds think im crazy. I mean the show is great. I have never seen any of the spin-offs. LIke Sanford and the sanford arms. Is there any way i can see any of these shows? I would really like to. I cant wait till season 6 comes out. Heck as im typing this im watching season 5 episdode 24 "Famliy Man". ANybody know why fred and lamont are not in this episode??

I believe the "Family Man" episode might have been a way to see how the audience would react to the possible (at the time), Grady spinoff. It would have been nice though to have Fred appear at least a little.

YouBigDummy, you got good taste. Don't worry about friends think. A show is a show, no matter how old it is. My nephew is the same age as you and he likes Sanford and Son too, thanks to me. His favorite episode is, "A Pad For Lamont." By the way, welcome to the post.

I was never a fan of Sanford and Son, till TV Land started to air the show back in 2003, now it is one of my favorite programs; and I also know how you feel about your friends not liking this show, my pals feel the same way, and they do not understand why I think Sanford and Son is amusing. I personally think Redd Foxx was one of the funniest men that ever graced television.

I'm the same way. I never use to care too much for Sanford and Son. Never really got into it as much as some other 70s shows like Good Times, but then I caught the Tv Land Marathon of the show and I was hooked. Now I own all 5 Seasons and am waiting for Number 6 to complete the set. Redd Foxx is absolutely hilarious.

I am like you, I never cared for the show till I saw the Sanford and Son marathon on TV Land back in January 2003, now, it is one of my favorite programs of the 1970s, and also like you I am very much looking forward to the final 6th season DVD, so I will be completed on the episodes of Sanford and Son and the crazy, and hilarious antics of Redd Foxx....

Did you catch any episodes of "Sanford" from 1980? I just ordered some tapes from Solomon to check it out. Even without Lamont, Foxx is bound to be hilarious.

No Jefffalan i did not see any eps... of sanford, sanford arms. I wish i have i am dying to see at least a eps... THat place you talked about ill have to check it out. I cant wait for january 25th to get the sixth season. I have only maybe seen half of the eps on TV land. I cant wait to see the other half. It comes on TV land everyday at 10:00pm and again 1:30am. They go from 1-6. I missed the last part of season 6. Currently they are only on season 2 i think. Thats when the DVDs come in handy. I just watched a handful of season 5 last night. "Brother Can You SPare An Ad" hahaha. SOOOOOO funny when Fred does his bow-leg dance. I was laughing so hard.

Im sorry i ment to say "Brother Can You SPare A Act". THe one where Smiley, Fred and lamont do a act for Rodney. After Smiley and Lamont do a fast tap dance scene fred jumps in. ANd does a dance that i will never forget. He has done the same dance in other eps.... Fred had me laughing so hard. With his breast stroke lookind dance. Man can he move those legs LOL.

I think you will like Sanford better than Sanford and Son but i'm not going to say the reason why. It was a reason why Fred was funnier in Sanford than he was in Sanford and Son. Let me know if you enjoy the show.
