music video? I mean it was very long and I'm glad it was cut down because after a while I thought I was watching a Fresh Prince music video. I think the EXTENDED opening credits are shown the first 5-6 eps.

yes i agree, but that's what made it so iconic.

the whole look was inspired by dj jazzy jeff & the fresh prince's earlier video; 'parents just don't understand'. sort of like a live action cartoon.

i love how the first episode takes place directly after the opening credits, with will banging on the door.

i also prefer the edited version though.
