I can't say that I'm shocked. That kind of crap always happens at awards shows.

Only that stuff happens at black award shows LOL. Suge Knight needs to keep his comments to himself. If he don't like G Unit, the whole world doesn't need to know that. He's just mad cause Dr Dre has been successful at Aftermath records & Death Row records hasn't released anything but unreleased 2Pac music over wack beats & some compilation cd's hahahahahahahahahahaha. I guarantee you Suge Knight got a lot of rap music in his vaults at Death Row but his stupid ass won't release any of his former artists music. Crooked I who was on the label has a lawsuit against him by Suge cause Crooked I is trying to release some music of his on his own label & Suge is trying to stop him from doing that. Ain't that a bit*h? Suge is a a**hole. That's why i don't understand why Kurupt would sign with Death Row again cause he knows his music will never get released. Just because Suge gave him a job as vice president of the label, that's why he signs back over there. What a idiot. That's messed up about Dr Dre gettin punched by some dude backstage before he went on stage to accept his award at the Vibe awards.

I'll see it when I get home later today. I have a sound card on my home computer and will view the action. What the hell happened to the R & B of long ago? The Mowtowns, the Marvin Gaye's, Temptation's, doo-wop, etc. Hip-Hop/Rap has no heart, no soul whatsoever. This kind of music does promote gang violence. (IMO)

Addendum: Although I hate rap/hip-hop altogether, I only like at least five (5) songs in that category. The rest sucks. Period. Keep the golden age of R & B alive!!

It used to back in the late 80s and early 90s.

Since the mid 90s it's been down hill.

Rap music is so terrible now, i haven't bought a cd since 5 years ago. Rap to me died after 98 cause that was the last good year for rap music. I was hurt when Tribe Called Quest broke up in 98 after their The Love Movement cd cause i was a big fan of their's. Every rap song nowadays is so mainstream & commercial. What happened to the hardcore rap like NWA, Ice Cube, MC Eiht, Spice 1, Kool G Rap, Rakim, EPMD? Every rap song is so soft now. Westside Connection came out with a song last year called So Many Rappers In Love. That song is hilarious. The hook goes there's so many rappers in love on the radio, there's so many fake ass thugs on the radio hahahahahahahahahahaha. At the end of the song, some dude be saying he likes to walk in the park, he likes poetry, he likes to watch the birds fly LOL. He's imitating what soft rappers be saying to women. For those who don't know Westside Connection consists of Ice Cube, Mack 10, WC. I wish they would've named rappers names on the song who they think are in love. That would've caused a lot of rappers to be mad at them if they would've did that.

Bossradio93 did you see The Original Kings Of Comedy movie when Steve Harvey was dissin rappers? What he said is so funny. He said back in the day when he was coming up, you had groups like The Temptations who sang at the same microphone & did dance steps. He said nowadays s**t ain't like that no more LOL. He said stank ass rappers make him sick hahahahahahaha. He said when you go to a rap concert it's 40 muthaf**kas on stage & everybody got a microphone. Muthaf**ka why? Hahahahahahahahahaha. We can't understand what one of ya'll is saying. How everybody get a microphone hahahahahahahaha. He also said rap concerts got too many damn instructions, everybody gotta do something hahahahahahahahahahahaha.

did anyone see how Kanye West lost his head over Gretchen Wilson winning "Best New Artist" over him at the American Music Awards? That is as bad as how 50 Cent went onstage to steal Evanescence's thunder.

Naw i didn't see that but black artists need to realize that they're at a music awards show where there are mostly white artists so they shouldn't get upset when somebody else wins a award that they think they should've won.

isiahthomas, I never thought that I would agree with anything you said, but you hit the nail on the head.

I also think that the fight at the VIBE Awards was a real disrespect to Quincy Jones. I mean Quincy is someone who has embraced these artist, and given them support, and how do they show appreciation, they start a fight at an event to honor him.

funny thing is that IMO, Maroon 5 deserved the award more than either Kanye or Gretchin, but you haven't seen them talking about how the award was OWED to them. I think part of the prob is that a lot of acts (not just rap, there's rock and pop ones too) that get way too cocky and forget there's other types of music out there.

Acting all superior to other artists/genres is not exactly endearing and won't exactly pick up fans who also embrace these other acts.

I agree! I am becoming a Maroon 5 fan. What was the name of the song they sang on the AMA's?
