Occasionally.
I only buy a newspaper if I want the cover after a big news event(yeah... that's me).

I don't buy newspapers anymore! I read the Star-Telegram.com and 3 different newspapers from my homeland.
If you want to see front pages of papers from other states or countries go to newsmuseum.com

I read articles online, but I have the Boston Herald delivered daily. I like to hold the paper in my hands.

No...the ones I go to often don't have any pictures. I'd rather have the real paper version. Besides, it's so much more fun cutting out articles than printing them out. I have a box I use for storing newspaper clippings, and there is so much variety in the ones I have saved. The most interesting pile of clippings I have is from when there was a controversy over my high school mascot two years ago. That controversy lasted approximately 7 months.

Not really. I really despise news in any medium (TV, radio, newspaper, etc); however, I do sometimes read some foreign ones about entertainment like Sweden's Aftonbladet (translated to "evening news").

I hate to hold newspapers in my hand. I hate the texture and the ink.
I read the NY Times and BBC News online. And occassionally I'll read Le Monde and some South American papers. All online. |

I read NYTimes every day, but the actual paper, not online.
I read CNN news online with some frequency, but just for news, not for opinion etc, I go to a blog that rounds up articles for that and just read whatever ones they deem worth posting. I dont read any actual newspapers though |

Less and less frequently do I buy a real newspaper, and when I do, it's usually Sunday's edition (coupons)
My local paper used to be a combined operation, a morning and afternoon paper, owned separately, but operating under one roof ....sharing the same printing presses, etc. But the afternoon paper sold ownership to a national syndicate several years ago, and they have since reduced operation to "online only", and only produce a limited handful of new stories, running the balance of their site with articles that are up to a couple years old. The morning paper runs a full print edition every day, a well as a web edition, but they have started getting very aggressive with their paywall for the on line edition. But their cookie scheme isn't hard to beat, if you know how to play their game. Since I've lived a number of places over the years, I have the online editions of all those local papers bookmarked, so when a news story breaks in their area, I can get the local "flavor", often times from reporters I recall reading when I lived there. One trend that seems to be growing, that I absolutely loathe is the way some sources are expanding their "video-only" format of reporting, where a particular story is ONLY a headline with a video, and no text form to go with it. I usually savor the facts behind a story, rather than the personalities....but the video-only stories seem to dwell so much on building "the human angle" that by the time they get to the actual story...I'm already half asleep. |

No, on reading newspapers online or the real paper. For years the LA Times was the paper here in So. Cal...but so much has changed and I want no parts of it.
I get plenty of what I need with the stuff that comes my way and from my forums. |

No to online and yes to "real paper" newspaper, although I get tired of their "news" articles being just opinion pieces.

One other thing that I eventually discovered...as far as being a news source...my local television stations put up a better web page, without the need to dance around a pay wall.
So, typically I'll first browse the online page for two local TV stations and only then hit my local newspaper's site, mostly to scan the headlines and see if they have anything I've not already seem, at the 2 television stations. (fwiw) |
