I finally saw this movie about a month ago & it was very good. I was at the video store browsing & i just happened to see this on the shelf. I always wanted to see it so i rented it. The cast was very good. Have you noticed Judd Nelson & Ally Sheedy were always in movies together back then? They did The Breakfast Club, Blue City, St. Elmo's Fire together. Emilio Estevez & Demi Moore also did another movie together called Wisdom that came out in 86 i believe. Emilio directed & starred in it. I saw it a long time ago but i don't remember much about it. I do remember that Emilio was robbing banks cause he had a hard time trying to get a job & Demi was his woman in the movie. Wasn't Emilio & Demi dating in real life back in the day? Mare Winningham's character in St. Elmo's Fire was lame. Rob Lowe had me laughin when he would ask her if she had sex with anybody yet LOL.

I LOVE St. Elmo's Fire! I think it is highly underrated, though I do understand why some would not like it. I have the movie poster hanging in my room. It is one of my favorite 80's movies. I thought the whole cast was great, though I believe Rob Lowe did win the Razzie for it. A lot of the Brat Pack did movies together in the mid-late 80's.
