Is my choice.

In my opinion, they should have kept Weasel, Vicki and Megan and got rid of Scott, Tommy and Lindsey. Acting wise, the first three were much better than the latter three.

Seasons 4 and 5 were my favorites. Definitely liked Richard Lee Jackson more than Tom Wade Hunington. And aside from that change, that group stayed together the longest. The first new class was my least favorite, but to be fair, to this day, I haven't seen many of that season's episodes. I also liked seasons 2 and 3 casts.

I liked season 3 and 4.........but I only got to see most of these as reruns because my stupid NBC station thought it had to air 3 hours of a morning news hour! (meaning instead of TNBC, they aired local news for like 2 or 3 hours!

I got to see them as reruns on USA network and recorded some, but then they stopped showing them.

I did see the first two seasons as well, and did like Brian, but Ryan was much better. He and Rachel made such a cute couple!

Season one seems like the Miss Bliss episodes for The New Class. Because it's so different from the rest of the seasons. In season two they remodel the school, giving Belding a new office. They bring in Screech. And the star of the show (Scott, Brian, Ryan, Tony) stopped talking to the audience.

The dvd was my first time to really see the first season episodes since I skipped this season when it was on the air, and like I expected, it was bad. Robert Sutherland Telfer and Jonathan Angel were especially bad. They were both bland with no personality. I don't remember Jonathan being so bad in later seasons, but in season 1 he seemed really stiff.

Speaking of season 1 episodes, the one where the gang tricked a couple of nerds (or geeks, or dweebs) into giving them their concert tickets was especially mean-spirited. I actually thought that was an unpleasant moment to watch when that episode was over. For me, the show got better after season 1. Less than two weeks till season 2 is released on dvd. I'm looking forward to that.

I think season 3 was the best based soley on the Ryan/Lindsay/Tommy triangle. I really liked it how everything played out.

Yeah, I don't know why Robert Sutherland Telfer was cast as the star, when he could barely act. I'm pretty sure Jonathan Angel gets better.

Another thing I thought was mean-spirited was when Scott and Weasel tricked Krunch out of his "Defender Dog" comics. DD was Krunch's life and he trusted Scott. And then it ends up being for nothing when they accidentally destroy it. I never liked that ending.

I don't remember the show being quite so mean-spirited in later seasons, but with those two situations, they overdid it in season 1. It's one thing for the group to come up with funny schemes but the situations you and I pointed out shows that the writers were way off track. It was more cruel than funny.

I have really only seen the first two seasons of the show along with others of the other seasons and I liked the season 2 cast much better, but I do wish Weasal would have stayed on. I didn't like the guy who played Scott, but it would have been cool for Brian to take over talking to the audience, that is just classic SBTB I think
