I was wondering what did they ever do to The General Lee.

Mostly they wrecked them....they were litterally destroying 4-8 cars per show; then, to make sure no one tried to rebuild them ( As the frames and suspensions were no longer safe ), they put the cutting torch to what was left ....Someday '68 Chargers will be extremely rare , thx to that show

You can see General Lee at Duke Fest in Nashville. They put it on display to see. They have a replica of the car that you can sit in and touch. Your not allow to touch the real one. They send it somewhere so nothing happens to it when it doesn't need to be used.

John Schneider himself owns about 6 1969 Dodge Chargers he himself paid to have restored. On the top his says "Bo's General Lee". I saw him driving his daughter to a premiere of the big screen movie in one.

I read somewhere that one of John Schneider's hobbies is collecting General Lees. That's pretty cool.
