Exclamation The 1974-1975 Season That Never Was

Hmmm..the Brady bunch thought they wer'nt gonna get cancelled and were going to return for another season. How would have it been? What would have happened? Lets hear some ideas of episodes that could have aired?

My Ideas: Ok...lets see...

1.Greg goes to Community College
2.Cindy's gets her first bra
3.Bobby introduces geeky oliver to his class
4.Jan gets her first date
5.Peter mistakenly takes candy and doesnt pay
6.Greg meets a girl at school and they go out
7.Marcia runs for senior prom queen
8.Cindy gets her first kiss
9.Bobby wins the spel-athon in class
10. Marcia is in charge of $$$ from fundraise
11. Peter goes out with Jan's friend
12. Oliver loses his glasses
13. Cindy looses a jump rope contest
14. Greg/Marica get accepted to UCLA
15. Jan gets better grades than Peter
16. Marcia Graduates
17. Alice gets proposed to
18. Alice Gets Married

This would be great closure after this.

Peter, Jan, Cindy, Bobby, and Oliver would reamain at the house, until a year from then, when Cindy, Bobby, and Oliver are the only ones left when Peter and Jan graduate and move out too.

I don't see any of those happening at all. I heard that if there had been another season, Robert Reed would not have been on. Thus, they probably would have killed him off. There is no way they would have had Mike and Carol Brady divorce. That is unless, they really wanted to confront 1970's realism.

I could see Alice getting married, though. But I don't see Oliver being in another season. They probably would have written him off as going back with his family.

Yeah, I agree that Oliver would have disappeared. How long were his parents supposed to be out of the country, anyway? And didn't Jan have her first date in one of the actual episodes? Does Clark Tyson count?

Other than that, I think there are some good ideas there. Jan getting better grades than Peter could have been really good. I probably would have had Greg go to a school a little more prestigious than a community college, though. Wasn't he supposed to become a doctor?

Also, if this is supposed to be the last season, I would add a few episodes that deal with characters from the past. In "The Return of Bug Boy", Marcia competes with Harvey Klinger to be class valedictorian. In "The Return of Buddy Hinton", Cindy goes out on her first date with her former nemesis. In "The Return of Beebe Gallini", Mike is unhappy to find himself mentioned in an unflattering light in Beebe's new tell-all autobiography. And "Pass the Tabu II" finds the cursed Tiki idol (and Professor Whitehead) turning up in Los Angeles and bedeviling the Bradys all over again.

I think Greg would stay in the area, and then apply to UCLA at the same time as Marica so they both would go there in the fall.

Dfinitly Alice would get married by the time the series ended (If they had a true final season), since she was said to be married by the time the Brady Brides aired in 1981.

I didnt know Oliver's parents were out of the country...well I guess he could have been written off..he stunk big time!!LOL!

But there would have been enough space by the time Marcia and Greg moved out so that Bobby, Cindy, Jan, and Peter could live easily and not worry about Marcia or Greg hogging the bathroom!!!

Marcia was supposed to get the attic that season, because, it was Greg's turn in 1973-74, and it was arranged, first Greg, then Marcia, then Peter, then Jan, then Bobby, then Cindy

I don't see how Cousin Oliver ruined the show. It was bound to get canceled anyway. I thought he was a cute kid. When was on "Weakest Link"(with the other Brady's), he said "Hi my name is Robbie Rist...and I hope I don't ruin this show either." LOL. He was funny.

In the last episode of the 74-75 season, Mike quits his job, the family moves to a beach house, and they all decide to put on a variety show.

I'm not sure how but adding another kid is usually a sign that a shows not gonna last much longer.

How about the following?

1. The Calderones from the episode entitled "Peter and the Wolf" (Phil Packer) return and open a Mexican restaurant, and eventually several more, and their concept becomes a national chain like Taco Bell.

2. Has the Wendy's franchise reached California by 1974? (In real life it started in 1969.) If not, Mike leaves his architectual firm and starts a local franchise of restaurants.

3. Since according to _Growing Up Brady_ seven of every thirteen episodes were supposed to be musical, the Brady Kids go on some talent shows, becoming famous like the Osmonds.

Like it was mentioned in _Growing Up Brady_ and one of N@N's "Pop Up Brady" episodes, three things were mentioned:

1. Jan wanted more serious episodes.
2. Bobby wanted a steady girlfriend.
3. Cindy wanted a horse.

There could be more.

Clark Tyson counts in my book. At the end Clark was attracted to Jan after seeing her in that light blue (and later, pink--production goof???) dress with knee-high socks to match.

Grrrrrrrrr, what's wrong with community colleges? Future doctors can go there too, infact they often do. :P

Seriously though, if Robert Reed wouldn't have been in season 6, I couldn't imagine it being worth it. I wonder if that is really true that they would have killed him off. That would definitely be the "Very Unbrady Season." Worst of all, if he died, what would happen to all those grooovy movies and spin offs. He couldn't come back to life!
