I haven'ty bought season 3 yet but when i bought season 2, there were several times the scene freezes and skips which can really take the enjoyment out of watching your favorite show. Now i have heard someone mention that there are several times on the season 3 DVD when there are frozen scenes and lots of skipping. What is the problem with the three's company dvd's? I so hesitant to buy season 3 because of this problem.

I haven't had any problems with the first or the second, but the thrid one, I have. On the episodes "Good Old Reliable Janet" and on "The Older Woman", there are some very noticable yellow lines. However, I think this problem is on everyones DVDs.

I haven't had problems with any of the seasons, although when I bought season one from Best Buy their entire supply seemed to have things wrong with them. However, aside from that, they play fine on my player.
By the way, the faint yellow lines seen in some of the season three episodes are also in the Nick @ Nite versions. The masters that the remastered episodes were transferred from must've been damaged at some point or something along those lines. |

I think the reason why the yellow lines are so noticable in a couple of episodes of Season 3 is due to the tranfer from analog to digital (or DVD).
Because of the high quality picture (supposedly) the viewer can see more of the nuances (sp?) of the original/master videotape - or videotape used. |
