Post A Camping We Will Go...Uncut

Hey All,

If anyone has the camping episode in its original uncut format, please watch it because I need to know if the long ago deleted Cindy line "Alice, that's the sleeping bag the zipper always sticks on." is from that episode or not. If it's not included, it has to be from the Grand Canyon ones, but I don't think "Grand Canyon" has ever been released uncut. (Since the synidicated days I mean...LOL)

Nope, I watched the uncut episode of A Camping We Will Go and that line is not from that episode.

I believe it's from the slumber party episode. I've definitely heard it recently, and I have the camping episode and the slumber party one on tape. Those episodes, along with Grand Canyon, are the only ones where they used sleeping bags (I think).

Talking A Camping We Will Go Uncut

Which version of the Camping episode do you have? The Columbia House tape or the Paramount tape? An earlier poster said that they HAVE the camping episode uncut and the sleeping bag zipper line was included! That line is for sure NOT from slumber party because there is no scene in there where Alice would be in a sleeping bag in the first place! (We should get this verified from someone) There was a problem with Columbia House releasing edited versions of some tapes! Major Bummer!!

I have The Slumber Caper uncut version on a Columbia House tape and I have A Camping We Will Go on a Paramount tape. Columbia House doesn't offer A Camping We Will Go on any of the 10 volumes of The Brady Bunch that they have available.

OK - I just checked both episodes ("Slumber" from CH and "Camping" from Par.). That line is in neither of those episodes. "Slumber" DOES have a scene about cleaning the sleeping bags, but it's with Mike and Carol, not Alice and Cindy. The very first scene in "Camping" starts with the car already packed, so the line isn't in there, either.

For some reason, I remember this scene occurring in the back yard, before the Bradys went on some trip, and Alice was standing up, but still stuck in the sleeping bag. I vaguely remember someone putting candle wax on it to get her out of it. Since the "Camping" episode begins with the car packed, I don't think it's from there. I suppose it's possible that the Paramount camping video is edited, but I don't really see how the sleeping bag scene would fit in, since the episode begins with the family ready to go. I'm guessing now that the missing scene is from the first part of the "Grand Canyon" saga after all, and that it's cut from N@N. Strange, though, because I could have sworn I had it seen it recently. Then again, I can't believe it's been about 20 years since I last saw the bathing suit/birthday suit scene.

Thanks for the info TV Guy! It wouldn't surprise me if for some reason the line has been edited and I remember the line clear as a bell! Your right too about the "Swimming trunks scene" I haven't seen that in a good 15-20 years eather!

My Paramount tape with A Camping We Will Go is not edited. The episode runs a little over 25 minutes long, the length of all uncut episodes usually runs between 24 and 25 minutes long.

That's good to know -- I have the Paramount tapes, too, and I would have been disappointed if they were edited (it's bad enough that they're recorded in EP).

I finally found the sleeping bag line in "Our Son, the Man", and I posted the details to a new thread.
