Would anyone out there happen to have episodes 74 & 75 on tape (the one's that start Alex's and Ellen's relationship) they would reproduce? I would of course pay for the tape and shipping. That scene in the bus/train station is one of my favourites from my late teens.

Hi,
I have the episodes you asked about (as well as most other episodes of Family Ties). But I live in Sweden, andd they are theefore in the European PAL format. However, if your VCR supports PAL playback, I´d be happy to record the episodes for you. Please contact me by e-mail (or any other way), nd we´ll talk about it. Sincerely, Daniel Hofverberg Family Ties Home Page http://hem.passagen.se/danielho/FamilyTies daniel_hofverberg@yahoo.com |

I'm feeling a wave of nostalgia and am interested in finding the online transcripts (videotapes would be fine too) of the episodes when Alex and Ellen first meet (episode #74 & 75). Episodes #79 (when Alex tries ballet to impress Ellen) and #95 (when Ellen ends up in Alex's Economics class) would be great too.
At times, I've felt like I'm *that* Ellen. I'm curious to hear how other people have related to the Alex/Ellen relationship. |

the Alex&Ellen relationship. There chemistry was so great (and real as you can tell from their 16-year marriage) I wish there were more episodes of Alex and Ellen.

When I was about 11, and FT had hit syndication, I recorded this cool thing they did. They have this thing called The Alex and Ellen week, where they played the five major eps to feature Alex and Ellen: The Real Thing parts 1 and 2, Don't Go Changin', Parent's Weekend, and Teacher's Pet. The funny thing is, on NBC these episodes were aired over a year. But watching them all in a row you'd never realize it, they so perfectly charted how a relationship starts and evolves. Love watching that tape now as an adult cuz they nail what it's like to fall for someone, start dating, etc.
