I think it was a goof (like it said on TV Tome)....just a mistake.
Oh, well, all TV shows have mistakes in them.

Yeah, that's right. But really they're both the only child, right?
Except for Shawn's half brother, Jack.

Anybody remember Shawn's other half brother? That guy had his gang with the little kid.

I don't think it was an inside joke for Topanga, cause they showed her sister in "She Loves Me, She Loves Me Not" But for Shawn yeah it was an inside joke

I think the best explanation for Shawn having so many siblings was in "Family Trees" where Shawn is talking with the spirit of his father. He mentioned that Chet was married several times and Shawn never knew who his real mother was. Shawn's long-lost siblings could have come from Chet's previous marriages. Just a thought.

I guess sarcastically putting down Jessica Simpson's intelligence in comparison to the logic holes often found on Boy Meet World can be considered baiting fellow posters. I apologize.

Wow.

To answer the question, Shawn was a marginal character in the first season, so his character wasn't really something to take seriously at that point. As his role increased, they changed his character and built part of the show around him, so they had to ignore the logic hole from the first season. Trying to spin it into making some form of sense from a logic standpoint is meaingless, which was my point in my earlier post that was edited. It was a case of the writers hoping the audience never realized or didn't care. In the grand scheme of things, the latter is probably true.

Yeah I edited your post, if you have a problem with it, PM TJ. Your comment was rude and wasn't necessary, if you have nothing constructive to contribute then don't bother with anything at all.

It's obvious you don't like the show, so since you don't, then you don't belong on this board, TJ would tell you the same thing.

Care to explain how it was rude? You seem to misinterpret rudeness fairly easily.

As best as I can remember, I said something to effect of: "trying to explain some of the logic holes on BMW after the 2nd or 3rd season is like expecting Jessica Simpson to win 20 straight rounds of Double Jeopardy". If you thought it wasn't funny, that's one thing. If you thought it was rude, you'd be hard pressed to find anyone with an ounce of sarcasm detection to agree with you.

Holy overreaction, batman. Good grief.

Wow, there are so many problems with that statement. One, you have no evidence that I don't like the show. It's an assumption on your part. In fact, as I've stated on other threads, I do like the show. Just because I don't put a smiley after every poop joke by Eric Matthews (that's a wonderful thread, by the way), doesn't mean I don't like the show. Otherwise why would I bother knowing most of the storylines and posting on this message board? To have you overreact? While that seems enjoyable, it's really not my cup of tea.

Secondly, are mods supposed to encourage insulting other members? You've threatened me to leave this message board for no justifiable reason, and accused me of being "rude". That's personal attacking, if I'm not mistaken. What justification did you have to come to any of those conclusions, and insult me in the process? My sarcastic comment that was edited did not insult anyone, nor did it insult the show. It was a sarcastic comment that was meant to amuse, if it didn't, I can't control that.

Just a tad overreaction on your part, my good buddy.
