Default Whistling

Whistiling is a two edged sword. I like to whistle tunes. I play the harmonica so I guess I have an ear for music. So I can whistle a tune to where it sounds musical.

On the other hand, one of my, you could say, pet peeves, is when people whistle non-descript nothingness. Like if you are in a grocery store or any public place, and someone is standing near you whistiling away in a kind of mindless monotone. I can't stand it when people do that. It's all I can do not to tell them to please stop.

Another form of whistlng is whistling really loud to call your dog after he/she is long gone somewhere and out of sight. I used to have a dog and he would come from heck-knows-where whenever he heard me whistling for him.

I can't end this subject post without mentioning The Andy Griffith Show. Is that an example of how great whistling can be, or what!?

Default No can do

I can't whistle to save my life. I remember as a kid, it used to frustrate me to no end. I literally cannot whistle one note.

And yes Kitt, there's nothing worse than a lousy whistler. Like singing, if someone's going to do it, it's got to be done right.

I'm a pro at whistling, and I can whistle the Andy Griffith theme pretty well. I, however, can't do that loud whistle.

I can whistle but not proffesionally. I learned how to whistle like last year while i was eating spicy wings. It was too spicy so i tried blowing it and such and I discovered how to whistle.

Default I Can't Whistle But Wish I Could

I wish that I could whistle but can't. At least, if I could then I wouldn't have to yell out to a person; so embarrassing.

Hey, sweet. I can whistle right along with that, and keep a proper tone.

Here's another great whistling song, from one of my favorite albums of all time.

I can't whistle for anything, either. I can make this one high pitched little noise, but with that I can't whistle any song.

I can only whistle by sucking in, not blowing out how every other normal person would whistle. So naturally I lose breathe after about 2 seconds.

I usually whistle sucking in, too. It's the loudest. However, I can also blow out and use my fingers. How do people do it the other way? I've tried, but can't.

I usually mix tunes while whistling.
