I was just watching "The Party" episode of The Larry Sanders Show in which the character of Arthur (played by Rip Torn) said "Kid bartender doesn't even know the proportions. Just because Cheers was a hit, every ******* thinks he can mix a drink."

You know, a few weeks ago on "Will & Grace", Grace mentioned "Cheers" and then Will said something like, "I guess you're in a place where nobody knows your name."

Boy Meets World, when Cory and Eric are going on a road trip.

Mr Feeny- I hope you guys are planning to stay atleast a day in Boston.
Cory- Hey, we can go to that Cheers bar. Maybe they'll know my name.

I thought it was pretty cool.

Friends - In "The One With Ross's Wedding," everyone goes to London for the wedding, and Joey gets homesick while watching "Cheers" in his hotel room. During the scene, you hear the theme song and see the opening title screen. Later on, Joey mentions how he wants to go "home... where everybody knows my name."

Also, in "The One With the Fertility Test," Monica comments on how Joey's relationship with paleontology professor Charlie is "cute... in a Sam & Diane sort of way." It was cut when NBC aired it, but it may end up on the DVD.

Seinfeld - In "The Trip," George meets George Wendt backstage on The Tonight Show set (was it The Tonight Show?) and they discuss and make a few references to "Cheers."

Anyways.... I want to get through my Friends DVDs even faster now, I'd love to see the Cheers references.

I hate to be the one to nit pick at your grammar, barwars, but I think what you meant to say was, "Aren't those episodes on DVD??"

I did.
At first I was thinking "Aren't those episodes on DVD?".... then I switched it to "Isn't" (and forgot to switch those to that and episodes to episode), because I realized "The One With Ross' Wedding" IS on DVD.

Yeah, "Fertility Test" is from season 9, so it's not out yet. Forgot to clarify that.

hehe, I was just thinking about that episode of Friends the other day and it's Cheers refernence.

I hope they do include the deleted scene on the DVDs, I bet they will.

I can't think of any Cheers or character references, but on Gilmore Girls the other night Lorelai states that she used to think that Kelsey Grammer was the perfect man. lol.

They do include deleted scenes on all the "Friends" DVDs, and I'm sure that line will be reinserted when season 9 is released.

You know, I just thought of it, but George also repeatedly talked about how he wanted the "Ted Danson jet"

I'm amazed that there are no Cheers refereces on Family Guy...at least that I can think of, there is the time that Peter says that in heaven Kirstie Alley is still hot, but that isnt a Cheers reference as much as a fat joke.

There are at least five Three's Company references.

There is: "Joyce Dewitt? So that's where you've been hiding" (There is also a thing like that with Lamont from Sanford and Son), "That makes you like Larry, you know, I always thought Larry was sexy", "You cant stay here, what will we tell Mr. Roper?" (When Death is on the couch), "We now take a minute to remember the people who died this millenium, Galilleo, Leonardo Da Vinci, Norman Fell" (showing pictures of all of them), and the time where Peter says "you have no clue what I went through when Lois was pregnant", then it shows Lois puking in the toilet and Peter says "Lois..." Then turns up the TV and the Three's Company theme is playing.

As such, there must be Cheers references, other than that one Kirstie Alley reference (there is the joke about Peter starting the bar in the center of the earth, but I am not sure if that is really a Cheers joke or not)

Oh, there is the episode where they want Peter to be classy so they set up TVs with Springer (or something) and Frasier, and they zap him everytime he looks at Springer

Well, we all know about The Simpsons bit. Just felt that needed to be mentioned.
