Post Mr. Dittmeyer.

What was the name of the episode with Mr. Dittmeyer? I think that it was a Cousin Oliver episode.

Hi!

The Mr. Dittmeyer episode is "Comming Out Party" he shows up in the tag (Uncredited)
That's the one where Cindy and Carol develop tonsilitis and they can't go on Mr. Phillips boat trip till they get better. Carol and the kids are using a casting rod in the backyard. (Earlier in the episode, she tosses the line over the fence to the Dittmeyer's yard and reels in a bag of charcol!) in the tag, she tosses the line over the fence. Only this time, she catches Mr. Dittmeyer! (His face pops up over the fence) Does ANYBODY know the actor who played him?

The Dittmeyers were mentioned several times during the show. They were never shown though.

We did see Mr. Dittmeyer once, as Jack mentioned, when Carol hooked him with her fishing pole. He didn't say anything, though.

When Cindy tried to drop out of the fairy princess play, she told her parents that Mary Dittmeyer could play the part, instead. But we never got to see Mary.

We never got to see the Bradys' other next-door neighbors, the Listons, who were mentioned in the tattletale episode.

First of all, the Listons and Dittmeyers are refered to a number of times during the 2nd season. During thn the episode The Babysitters (production #28) Mike and Carol refer to the Dittmeyers. Then in The Tattletale (production #33) the Listons are refered to and then in Coming Out Party (procution #38), Mr. Dittmeyer is actually shown.

It was probably tough enough writing for 6 kids as it were (and eventually Oliver too), but the Dittmeyers would have been a good way to give the Brady kids some neighbor friends.

Yeah good idea! A Daughter Mary was mentioned. I'm thinking maybe a hot teenage son for Marcia to crush on? Like IDK ? Thinking at random of an actor from back than who was young and cute, like say Michael Lembeck maybe?

Who could play Mary Dittmeyer?

If Michael plays a Dittmeyer son, maybe a young, raven-haired Valerie Bertinelli as Mary, a good contrast to the blonde haired Brady girls.
