Post Whazzupwiththat?

Problem!
Pop-up-Brady was a good idea, but now it's getting annoying because they keep showing the same ones over and over again. Where are the new ones? How many times did they show the Joe Namath episode? Did anyone count?(It's coming on again TONIGHT!)

Does anyone agree?

I've seen the Davy Jones ep 5 Times!

And the thing is they might just be experimenting with a few Test Pop Up shows before they make more. Amen.

Or they want to bang it into our heads that the Brady's mentioned Davy Jones 36 Times!

Time for All in the Family.

What about Episode #5, "Eenie, Meenie, Mommy, Daddy"? The one where Cindy had to choose to take just one parent to the school play to see her perform as the fairy princess. I haven't seen that one since at least June 1998 when it debuted on N@N (albeit with Phoebe, "The Lost Brady"!).

Pop Up Brady is getting very annoying, they only show a new ep once a week. I think they should have more shows with Pop ups, not just the Brady Bunch, that way it wouldn't get as boring, there would be more than 1 show to watch..Am I even making ne sense?? Oh well.

Just saw this show last night and I gotta tell you it touches your heart, not in the way that Benny Hinn goes "TOUCH" and Knocks you down, but in a real sweetheart kind of way.

There is one CheeseWiz part though:

The bit about the "Only 1 parent per child can go to the play".

I live in a town that has the smallest school in the state of North Carolina, and I can promise you we have an auditorium that can seat several hundred people. Now then:

A spectrum analysis reveals that when Cindy was on stage during "hersal How cute is Cindy here mispronouncing this!" and toward the end, studies show that there weren't that many kids on the stage to begin with. The point being they could have gotten all the parents in.

But lets take it to the shows conclusion:

If they didn't have enough room for both parents to see the play then:

Why were the Brady's getting a special showing (at the end) and not the other parents? Much like a certain Britney it must be said that:

Oops they did it again. A Brady Error.

I love analysing stuff like this; it makes the Brady Life come alive. The good part being Cindy did get to star in the play. And her parents saw it. And her brothers and sisters. And Alice.

Brady Mania!

You know, Robert, I've always thought the same thing about that special performance of the play. Why didn't they just call it a second showing, and open it up to the other families. Only in Bradyland!

Did you notice that the kid playing the male lead opposite Cindy in the play went on to be the second Chris on "The Partridge Family"?

Hi Everyone,
I just wanted to pass along a note to Robert(and the rest of you that may like these kinds of analysis of episodes). I really am glad that someone else did something like this first(pointed out some stuff that wouldn't wash in RL.). That way I don't feel like I'm the only one that ever noticed small things.

I have a kind of analysis of the episode Her Sister's Shadow(another episode that has been "Popped Up" about a zillion times this summer.). I have at least four issues with how things went down here. One has to do with Marcia. The others have to do with the way Jan's school organized and picked the National Honor Society.

Marcia/Jan issue:

When Jan was looking at the pom-pom girl poster at school, she mentioned to the friend with her that that was allegedly the "one thing Marcia's never done". Yet, a little later, when Marcia sees Jan practicing in the backyard, she mentions to Mike that she wanted to give Jan some pointers about things she did when she was trying out. In the beginning, Jan was so mad that you would think she would have remembered that Marcia was once a pom-pom girl. Or could it have been that that was the ONE thing Marcia had failed to do up to that point?

Honor Society Stuff:

1.I'd like a show of hands. How many of you guys had any type of Honor Society in JR. High School? And if you did, did it carry any real weight in the grand scheme of things?(Like did colleges actually look that far back in your academic career when you were applying?)The only Honor Society I know about is in the Junior or Senior years of SR. High School.
2.While I'm on that, it seems stupid that for a school as large as Jan's was portrayed to be,(Yes I read the Pop-Up and know that was only stock footage.)that only ONE person was admitted. My school was decidedly smaller and still a group mixed of Juniors and Seniors were admitted in one ceremony on one day.
3.Finally, I really believe that Jan WAS gypped of the honor. To be admitted to virtually any Honor Society I know that exists, it takes WAY more than one top grade on one essay. All the characteristics(like Honesty and Character) that Mrs. Watkins said that Jan had on the one day would count for something. Yes academics would be given the most weight in the decision, but by that I mean the essay AND a student's GPA up to the point the decision is made. I mean, we can never be sure, but what if Nora Coombs(the "Winner")had been the class snob or class bully that just happened to write one good essay on one given day and that's how she got the top score?(I know people like that. Don't get me started on stuff like those High School shows where the Class Clown gets a high score on the SAT's while the Class Brain winds up with a mediocre score.)She could have been devoid of any of the other really important characteristics and just walked off with the prize. If I had been Jan and had known that was what Nora was like, I would have been royally mad.(I still would have wound up telling the teacher about the scoring though just because that was the right thing to do.)

Talk about unreality.

I'll go now. Sorry to drag on but if I had left anything out, I don't know much you guys would have understood.

Good point, maybe Marcia DIDN'T succeed in her efforts to be a pom-pom girl. You know, she failed when she tried out for head cheerleader, too (Pat Conway won out over Marcia and Greg's girlfriend, Jennifer), so maybe there's a pattern here.

No I didn't notice that. Then again I last watched it when I was a kid in the 70s, so its been a while.
