OK, we saw at least some of Charlie's story and he so far seems unique in that he appears to be the onlycastaway with supportive family ties.
Anyone else catch Sun actually standing up to her husband Jin by defiantly remaining solely in her bra after he tried to insist she cover up by telling him it was hot? Good for her! Maybe she realized that she no longer is hostage to traditions AND that, inasmuch as she was able to convince Michael to free him (and he knows it) , he somewhat owes her.
Sawyer seems to becoming less of a one-dimensional redneck and actually trying to occasionally do right by the others. But will he be credited for sending the flare or blamed for KOing Sayyid?
Interesting that Sayyid is the one working the hardest to get them off the island- yet he seems to have the least to return to.
It's good to know that Michael was a construction engineer. That could come in very handy in the weeks ahead. .and I think the whole subplot of him and his estranged young son getting acquainted while trying to survive is an interesting one. It's not JUST teens who can be surly and disobedient even with good reason but his young son is- yet is sympathetic rather than merely snotty!
I wonder if Jack did some kind of malpractice Stateside that somehow dragged his father (and the whole family practice) down with him?
Also, did anyone else think that Locke was just going to be a semi-mute idiot savant the first time he was seen grinning with that orange in his mouth? Now, it seems he holds quite a few keys- and he may prove to be a stronger force to recogn with than the others expect. (notice how easily he pulled Jack up that cliff- with ONE hand. Few of us could pull up a grown man that easily in that position).
I'll be interested to see how all of this turns out!
