It is where 3 teams compete against each other in sporting events. The Yogi Yahooies, the Really Rottens, and the Scooby Doobies. Anyway, I use to go for Scooby's team, but since he gets so much attention now, it is the Rottens all the way. They work together well as a team. Which brings me to my next point. Noticed on the Scooby team a lot of the members never really acknowledged one another unless they appeared on the same show together. An example, let's say Dyno-mutt went out for an event, he'd only talk to Blue Falcon, not Scooby, the leader. Same with Tinker, He'd answer to Speed Buggy, Captain Caveman would have the Teen Angels cheering him on. This is why they didn't work well as a team. Scooby should have been in everyone's face, from Hong Kong Phooey, to Captain Caveman, to Tinker. Yogi Bear was a vocal leader and he set his team straight. if anybody seen this cartoon, do you agree?

I sure do. But in the Grand Canyon/Ireland Episode, Blue Falcon did talk to Grape Ape and they worked well together.

0325, I remember that episode, but I meant the Scooby team itself rarely interacted with one another. For example, I never saw Blue Falcon talk to the Teen Angels or Hong Kong Phooey or Tinker. See what I mean?

He sure did. But remember the tug-of-war contest? The Rottens all worked together with Mumbley blowing the whistle for the Creeplys to work the bulldozer. Yogi called for Grape Ape to bail them out. For the Scoobies it was only Blue Falcon and Dyno-mutt helping the team. Tinker was behind them, but he wasn't acknowleged. Scooby himself was nowhere to be seen. I felt Scooby should have told Dyno-mutt to help them out instead of BF.

Perhaps Dyno-mutt was taking a leak or working on next season's preview special. |

That was a really complex show and a handful of interesting stories about it.
Some are: ---Jeannie, Josie and the Pussycats and the partridges were the appear but last-minute legal problems (Screen Gems.Columbia for Jeannie & Patredige, Archie./Radio comics for JatP) kept THEM off.(they appear at least in SOME PR materials for the show.) -----John Stepehnson (Mr,Slate on the FLINSTONES) was the new, post-Paul Lynde voice of Mildew Wolf, imported from IT'S THE WOLF-a Daws Butler-starrer (as Lamsby, the little lamb) on H-B's 1969-1971 (but produced only in 1969) CATTANOOGA CTAS-with Al melvin as the Bing Crosby-like sheepdog, Bristol Hound. _____The animators goofed. Throughout, it's been said that you can see characteras CHEERLEADING themsevles ON! [NOTE:Paul Lynde was still alive at the time (1976) when the LAFF-A-LYMPICS debuted.Obviously by then he was either way too big a name and might have caused what little adults tuned in to have done so just becuase ol' Paul Lynde was there, or his celebrity status would've caused a SO NOT pocket-friendly cost for H-B. Then again he was still occupied elsewhere (CHARLOTTE's WEB,as Templeton the rat,1973,was his last IIRC HB voice work though he'd turn up as a hippo in an animated special with Donny and Marie called HUGO THE HIPPO,not produced by H-B). John Stepehnson did Mildew as a almagram of veteran situaiton, movie and radio character comic actor Joe Flynn (1924-1974, best known on ABC"s McHALE';S NAVY as 'Olld Leadbottom), and Paul Lynde!]He did a similiarvoice for the studio in the [posthumously] Tex Avery-created 1981 KWICKY KOALA, as Wilford the evil Wolf (who, despite what at least one reference source has indicated, WAS allowed to plot evilling on eating his prey---and did try--but of course never succeeded!)-opoosite writer/.voice actor Robert Allen (bob) Ogle's Dreoopy-dervied Kicky--a takeoff on old-time radio character Wallace Wimple, from the THE FIBBER MCGEE & MOLLY radio sitcom, which ran on CBS from 1935 to 1957--one of the longest---and who was played by Droopy'sd very own Bill THompson. And of course, Tex Avery was the shared creato for both Froopy and Kwicky) |

I remember when Cartoon Network used to have Laff-a-Lympics marathons during the Olympic years. That's how I first saw the show.
