Post Bradys Go To Washington

All I know is that Sherwood Schwartz is doing a new BB movie with Mike and Carol as President and Vice-President of the United States, and this time Carol and the girls will be black. Sounds like a Saturday Night Live spoof but apparently it's for real. Does anyone have more info on this?

I saw where some one on The Facts of Life board mentioned it. That sounds interesting.
I wonder why Sherward would want to make a Brady movie with Mr.Brady as president & Mrs. Brady as vice president.

The articles I've seen seem to indicate that the "Brady Bunch in Washington" Fox TV-movie is a separate project from the mixed-race Brady idea (the Schwartzes are working on both).

They want the Washington movie to be a spoof in the same vein as the two theatrical movies from a few years ago. They were even saying earlier this year that they hoped to get Shelley Long and Gary Cole to reprise their roles (http://tv.zap2it.com/news/tvnewsdaily.html?16683), but since no cast has been announced yet, I doubt that that's going to happen.

Wow - I'm surprised Gary Cole and Shelley Long agreed to do this! Then again, neither of them has done much lately.

This is GREAT news! Although, I doubt we'll see any other "thesps" reprise their roles (the word "thesps" came from the article). I mean, it's been six years since the first movie premiered, the kids are just a little too old to reprise their roles. (However, Alice.. maybe).

I think it would be fun if they did a Brady Brides Movie. I think Ben Stiller would be great as Wally(Marcia's husband). Since he's married to Christine Taylor it would be really cute. But I can't think of anyone who would be perfect as Phillip (Jan's husband). Any ideas?

Good idea...makes me think that they COULD get the rest of the "original" movie cast for the "Bradys Go To Washington", even though they are older, as was done in "The Brady Brides." The new movie could be a spoof of the later Brady projects -- "The Bradys" especially, with its attempts at serious drama, would be fun to spoof.

Re: MsLulu's question above as to who could play Jan's husband...

How about the guy who plays "Niles" on Frasier? Both he and Philip were stuck-up, pompous asses.
