Two epioses from season one contradict things from later on:

In one episode Shawn's dad buys him a really expensive water gun, yet how could he afford it if they're poor in a trailer park barely able to get buy.

How in the one episode would Topanga have not known about Cory having an older brother if they'd known each other since they were 4, even if they weren't in love with each other, she still should have known about his brother Eric.

Both Topanga and Shawn had sisters in the first season who were never mentioned again.
