"told ya we shoulda left that plastic on"
nothing was what it appears in this episode. seems everybody was undercover or hiding something. maddie was witness to a parking garage murder so she gets police protection. dave thinks the detective assigned to her is on the wrong side. the real killer gets captured. the detective is clean. but annie is not. her time with david is followed by a husband wanting to talk to her. dave and maddie argue over this relationship. they sorta work things out. loved the parking garage scenes. but where was the "ding" on the elevator? it never dinged. rating: 7 |

What I think is wrong with this episode is the criminal story line. This is so out of the usual realm of ML clients or crimes that I have a problem with it. ML cases and their involvment is usually more about crimes of passion or cheating spouses etc. Car theft rings that feel like organized crime dealings is just wrong here.
There are also several sloppy continuity errors that stand out like sore thumbs to muddle the plot. I have watched this thing several times and I still have trouble explaining exactly what was going on and what really happened at the end. |

yeah, the crime was out of place. the garage thing was executed well, but it still was not right here. most times the cases paralled around issues that currently involved dave and maddie, not just run of the mill crimes.

Confusing and certainly not "quite right" but still a lot better tham some of the other episodes towards the end

I thought this one was the best of the final trilogy. It still is not one of my favorites though
David kissing Maddie's cheek at the end of the house destruction scene was a redeeming point. |

That's the only scene I liked too! I think the way they left each other, both looking very wistful, was the perfect set up to bring them together for the finale. It just didn't happen.
