her hair was at least 4 different colors in this movie! black (as robbie), white blonde (as terry), dirty blonde and light brown (as marie). what is up with that? lol! it was a weird movie... not one of her best... i didn't care for it because of the character she played... it's just so... not her!

and despite popular belief, people in alabama DO NOT talk like that! i do not sound like that, i swear!
although, i do love that the movie was filmed in birmingham and aniston. one scene was even shot on the UAB campus, which is the University of Alabama at Birmingham (it's a college that has its own hospital because the college specializes in medicine) and i'm going to be a freshman there next year! pretty cool to think that judith light has been in this town to shoot a movie, even walked the halls of my college! |

ranking the movies i've seen her in so far, and giving my commentary (don't take it personally!)... (from worst to best)
4. Wife, Mother, Murderer - Although EXTREMELY interesting to see a movie that was actually shot in my home town and at the college I am attending next year, this movie was just flat out horrible. The plot was stupid, the characters weren't realistic at all, and the acting was unbelievably terrible. Judith played her character to what I am assuming was the best of her ability, but girls from Aniston and Birmingham don't speak with that deep of a Southern accent. I guess you have to be born and raised here, but it seemed so fake. And the death at the end... what was that about? They should have left this true story a story! A score of 2.5 stars outta 5. 3. Too Close to Home - I don't have much commentary on this. Just one thing... I don't ever want to watch this movie again because, although highly interesting, I hate seeing Judith Light as some crazy, suicidal, selfish mother. The character doesn't suit her. I was forced to watch this movie and write a paper on it for Psychology... and believe me, my teacher will find my paper quite interesting. I have many views on Judith's character in this movie, but I won't get into it! I give it 3 outta 5 stars. 2. Lady Killer - Not the best acting, not the best plot, not even the best situation, but still, rather intriguing. Seeing Judith playing a cheating wife (even though she goes back to her husband) is not too enjoyable, especially when you have just watched 4 hours of WTB? and you are screaming "Angela! What are you doing?" at your television. In my eyes, it was Angela cheating on Tony. I'll have to watch it again to get my facts straight. But all in all, this movie was a 3.5 outta 5 stars. 1. A Strange Affair (aka A Husband, A Wife, and A Lover) - This is a great movie! I loved it... perhaps more than WTB?! Judith is amazing in this movie and she just glows. Her character is sincere, and although she is technically having an affair, it doesn't really seem like it because her marriage has failed anyway (they were getting a divorce when Eric got sick and Lisa had to rush back to take care of him for their kids). The best movie I have ever seen... period. I watched it everyday for like, a week! Very cute movie... 5 outta 5 stars! |
