Default Season 3 DVD Coming in Jan. 2005!

The season three set is slated for January 25. Official announcement will be in a few weeks, so take this date as a tentative one!

That's great news. I'd suspect it's safe to say season 4 will be out before the end of 2005 at this rate.

I can't wait! I'm watching Season 2 again in the mean time.

this is sooo cool - i just HOPE that they throw in the season recap/preview specials this time - like the one with Bea Arthur as the Angel

I still dont understand why they didnt add the first one to the season 2 dvd

I was just looking at the cover art for Season 3 & noticed that Benson is on the cover. Now, I could be wrong - but to my knowledge, Benson was only on the first 2 seasons. Season 3 was the 1979-1980 season & Robert Guillaume had left to do Benson, which premiered in the fall of 1979. I don't remember him being on both shows at the same time either, but again I could be wrong. Somebody with more knowledge of this please feel free to give your input or correct me lol

If my memory serves correctly, Benson was on both shows until about mid-season.

Thanks Pav. I went to TV Tome earlier & it said that Benson was in the first 2 episodes of the season & the last episode of the season. Appearing in just 3 episodes, Robert Guillaume shouldn't have been on the cover of the Season 3 DVD. Poor Diana Canova, she only has one more chance to be on the cover now

I guess they're going with the stand out characters. Aside from the two couples, probably the characters people think of most are Benson and Jodie. I like the cover. I gotta make room on my shelf for it alongside seasons 1 and 2.

Unfortunately, I believe that the 3rd season of Soap was Diana Canova's last; she left the show to appear in another sitcom with Danny Thomas called I'm a Big Girl Now .
