Summary possible story - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

So Far what I have:

First scene: Sam is on a plane flying to California to settle some problems concerning the will of his recently deceased brother Derek. Sam and his aunt Carmel Malone, who lives in California, each got half of Derek’s finances, but they must settle on who gets the house, Sam is willing to sign it to his aunt but needs to come to California to put it on paper in front of Derek’s lawyers.

Aunt Carmel tells him That it’s really a shame that his brother, however rich, died alone. He never married or had kids. She tells Sam that this is the curse of the Malones, usually the oldest Boy DOES get married, the rest however find true love but always end up alone. Sam not really thinking too much about his elder aunts ravings decides to take a walk around town when he runs into...
