Default Episode 5: Come In, Stranger

One early question: the non-twin who was on the first couple of episodes, I assumed he was also one of Lynette's kids. Was he just a family friend or did he just disappear like Judy on Family Matters?

Yeah, I was wondering about that other kid.

Anywho, now we know what traumatized Bree. Cleaning up her mother's blood...dude, that's messed up but pretty cool. Sounds like something I'd do. No, wait - ignore that last thing.

Oh and I loved the NRA thing...Bree owning four guns, holy ****.

The Christmas thing = crazy

Susan as a hooker = priceless

The third kid has disappeared... dunno why. Probably too close in age, so they ditched him.

Mike is a baddie, I have a feeling.

Heavy on the mysteries this week.

Why did Mike break in to the house?

What's up with Zach, and the holiday decorations?

What does Gabrielle's mother-in-law have in store for her?

What happened to the 3rd kid?

Another great episode

I was wondering the same thing. I wonder if that was even her son. I kinda like it with just the twins, plus she had a baby too didn't she?

I still think Mike is law enforcement that he is undercover. Mike said they "were all good people" to the guy he met with and that guy says "one of them is not". So one of the neighbors has def. done something, I'm thinking it's Zack, maybe he's got multiple personalities and did something, and Mary Alice covered for him.

LOL @ Bree and the NRA thing. Bree's Husband "if someone broke in, I would expect you to protect me"
Now we know why Bree is so controlled all the time.

Susan's storyline was great."Not now I"m on a break"

I think Zack is starting to think of Bree like a mother figure or something

I am dying to know "who" Mike really is?? I hope he is a good guy, because he and Susan seem like a nice match. And this Zach thing is very creepy. I hope we find out soon what his problem is and why Mary Alice killed herself!

Yeah, heavy on the mysteries this week. I noticed that Bree's kids, Julie, Ms. Huber and Edie were not in this episode.

Definately let us hanging.

Two huge unsolved mysteries.... who Mike really is, and what the hell did Zack do?!

Anyways,
I liked it all, this was the best week for Lynette. Although Bree's storyline still is the best.

I really like Gabby's mother. She's such a bitch, but in the good way.

If nothing else, we found out why Bree is so messed up, and why Mr. Salis is such a jerk off.

Lynette is supposed to have four kids; that is the first thing she mentioned at the funeral was that she had gotten pregnant three times in four years. But you are right, we have not seen her other two for afew weeks.

Anyone else think that this should be an automatic DVD release at the end of the season?

I agree; this week's episode was pretty good.

I really liked the Bree/Zach storyline this episode. Definitely sets things up even more. Although it's not something you laugh at, I had to chuckle when we saw that Zach was the one who did the slapping, not Paul. These are two creepy people.

Mike's probably a good guy. I can't see them making him a bad guy at all. I am definitely liking Susan and Mike though it seemed a tad rushed in this episode. I love Nicolette Sheridan and Edie has promise but they need to flesh her out a bit more before I start to care so I was kind of glad she wasn't on this week.

Oh, and Julie was in the episode. It was brief though. It was in the very beginning before the opening credits when Susan and Julie went to Ms. Frome's house to feed the cat and realized there was a break in. That was it though. I've heard rumors that Julie/Zach get a storyline together. Could be interesting. Oh, and yeah, it was hilarious when Susan was in the bad part of town and was like "Oh, I'm on break." LMAO.

Lynette's storyline is great. I'm liking the kids thing more than I originally thought. I like the focus on just the twins and hopefully, eventually, the baby. Is the baby a girl or boy? Did I miss the explanation? I do wonder about that third kid. I think he was younger than the twins, but he was kind of unnecessary, IMO.

This show is great. So many mysteries. Though I do agree that I think Mike is an undercover cop. Maybe he had a police record and then cleaned up to go on to be a cop and he was worried about it getting out? I don't know, but I sure hope they explain it. I definitely don't want him to be a bad guy though.

I tend to think Lynette's 3rd son will not be seen again. THe only children we will see will be her twins. I thought she had triplets from the first episode. It sure looked that way. Nicolettes character will be a guest start type episode. Two episodes I haven't seen her in. I thought it was lovely that Bree invited Zach over for dinner. I would have continued to have him come to get info about his feelings and to help him. He seems like a sad boy. As for Gab I would have told lover boy to cool it for a while so I could get Mama off my back.

Record numbers yet again for DH! 22.2 million viewers and a 9.8/23 in adults. It's increased every week since it's second episode and it now up over its premiere by 2% in viewers and 10% in adults. This is extremely rare- the last new show to do this was "The OC" last summer.

Again, another Monday of dishing on the show in the office. My three colleugues and I won't be satisfied until all 10 of the Spanish graduate students are watching the show- even the ones who don't speak english!

The third son does seem to have disappeared like Judy from Family Matters. I don't think they will explain what happened. I like it with just the twins. They are bad on their own; they don't need a third sibiling close in age with them.

I think Gabriella's mother-in-law is going to figure out what's going on.

Susan standing on the street corner was funny. How can the hooker have a cell phone but not Susan?

I want to know what's up with Zack? What was in that box? Something went down, and I think that is why Mike is there.

Saw this at tvguideonline, it should answer our question:

Question: When Desperate Housewives began, Felicity Huffman's character had four children. Why are we now only seeing the twins? Have they written the other kids out? — Peggy

Ausiello: No, they're still there. I'm told producers are just focusing on the twins since they are the problem children.
