Question Recipes

Im going foodshopping on Wednsday and Im doing (more like drowning, no seriously I have over 20 fliers to go through) coupons right now. Well anyways, Thanksgiving is coming up and I love baking stuff for the holidays. I was wondering if anyone had recipes to share and stuff that you would recommend. I like to make things from scratch too, I dont want to buy cake mix and thats it- I want to make it my own. Theres about 7423498 sites with recipes but the thought of looking them up totally overwhelmes me!

I'm not sure what kind of recipe you're looking for, but this one is really easy and absolutely delicious.

First you take some balsamic vinegar and brown sugar. Take equal quantities of each and dissolve the sugar in the vinegar on low heat. Let the mixture simmer for a few minutes. It will start to boil and caramelize. Make sure you don't leave it there for too long or it will harden. You're just looking for a thin caramel-y consistency, so keep an eye on it. Take the pan off the heat once it's ready. Then take some strawberries (cut in wedges) and toss them into the pan, coating them with the caramelized balsamic vinegar sauce. Don't cook the strawberries - just coat them. Them pour them over vanilla ice cream and voila.

You should probably use about 6 tbs of brown sugar and 6tbs of vinegar for every pint of strawberries. It really doesn't matter how much you use.

Don't be alarmed by the vinegar/strawberry combination. It doesn't taste acidic at all if you follow the recipe. In fact, the balsamic vinegar brings out the flavor in the strawberries in a way you wouldn't imagine. It's very addictive. I haven't met a single person who hasn't liked this recipe.

1. Cut up some fruit.
2. Put it in a bowl.
3. Eat.
