Default Favorite Halloween Movie?

with Halloween just around the corner, the perfect time to ask.

1 is hands down my pick, but I love Halloween II also

I like the first one. IMO, part three is one of the worst movies ever made.

I don't think it should have been marketed as a "Halloween" movie. They should have just stuck with Mike Myers in this one.

If it was a movie that was by itself and didn't have the Halloween name, it might have been better received. I was disappointed but I didn't think it was one of the worst movies ever. Besides, there's hadly a lot of horror movies that are Oscar quality, like the Friday the 13th and Freddy Krueger franchises.

I've only ever seen the original. Never had any desire to see any of the sequels.

Don't worry Emily, you have not missed much. This series went down hill right after the original. The second one was more of a gross out movie then anything else. There was a scene with a little boy who had swallowed razor blades. I think this is beyond what I would consider good taste.

So that's what it was. How did he swallow them in the first place?

pt. 2 was no Halloween, but it was much better than 3-8. It was a little too gross and graphic, but it's a nice, yet inferior, companion piece to pt. 1

In the early eighties there was a problem with disturbed people placing razor blades inside if Peanut Butter Cups. I remember during Halloween 1982 my Mom going through my Halloween candy to make sure it was safe, she broke a Peanut Butter Cup in half and there was indeed a razor blade in it.

That's what I heard, and why I've stayed away from them. I'm too squeamish.

I remember that scare - my parents went through my Halloween candy too. But you actually had a razor blade in your candy??? That's terrifying! Did you remember all the houses you were at and try to find out who it was? That's just screwed up. Thank God your mom checked!

If I remember correctly it was a Saturday, so we pretty much hit every house we could. I think that my Mom notified the police, but I don't think that she felt that there was anything else that she could do. The worst part was that I was not the only one. When I was back at school on Monday, several other kids mentioned that the same thing had happened to them.

yuck, that sounds like you had a real psycho in the neighborhood, was he ever caught?

1 (the 25th anniversary 2 disc edition that came out last year), 2 and H20 are the only Halloween movies I have, and it's all I intend to have. I know Jamie Lee was in Resurrection for a few moments, but as far as MY Halloween story goes... it's all over at the end of H20. I prefer my ending with Michael decapitated and Laurie goes on to live happily ever after, lol.
