Wow. That's a long time for someone to go before paying. But, it was good of him to do that. I'm glad the hotel donated it to charity. At least he was honest in skipping out on the bill and ended up paying it back. Still, it's funny that someone would wait that long before finally paying a bill.

I agree that he was probably making amends to those he had wronged because of a step program.

It's that or he's terminally ill and wants to improve his chances of entering the Pearly Gates.
