Cool "Dough Re Mi"

In the first of 3 "Musical Brady Kids" episodes,Greg writes a song that is going to be a smash! He writes "We Can Make The World A Whole Lot Brighter",but he doesn't have the $150 to record it. Peter has a great plan: if Greg and his brothers and sisters form a musical group, they might save up the rest.During rehersal,Peter hits puberty while singing, and thinks he might wreck the group's recording career! Greg and the others vote to see if Pete's in or out. Peter gives Greg one of his favorite lines in this episode:

"I don't want to spoil your great song,Greg. I decided it's time for my dumb voice to change. So I think you should do it WITHOUT me. Good luck."

Greg hits another great brainstorm and writes the hit song "Time To Change"(with Peter doing the cracked voice).

(Fact: Chris Knight does not sing in this episode;another singer is doing his singing voice).

Is this your favorite episode? Tell me.

"Dough Re Mi" is also the first musical debut of The Brady Kids. Back then in the 1970's,gruops like The Osmond Brothers,The Jackson Five,The Cowsills, and of course,The Partridge Family try to get their musical debuts on TV,but the Brady Kids blew them away! This is definitely MY favorite episode, aside from "Amateur Night"(Episode # 92) and "Adios,Johnny Bravo"(Episode # 98).

"When There's Smoke" debuted Barry Williams' singing career, and "The Drummer Boy" begun the singing debuts of Chris Knight,Eve Plumb and Susan Olsen, but Michael Lookinland's drumming-- well,he's not exactly Jeremy Gelbwaks, but he had to find his own type of talent!

I saw that episode on a special "Pop-Up Brady". It says that a crewmaker dubbed Peter's voice when they were singing "Time To Change".-- the REAL reason that Christopher Knight couldn't showcase his singing talents.

Wink

As a Chris Knight admirer, I have to speak up for him, he HATED this episode, and due to ADHD, he thought they were making fun of him. I however, like the Johnny Bravo episode as well as when Peter played 'Phil Packer.'
