Question What is the possibility that I can ask someone to burn rare CD for me?

I am planning on asking someone who has a CD Burner to burn a rare CDS for me. Janet Jackson's Dream Street and Janet Jackson Since both of them did poorly and sold a limited number of copies, what is the possibility that someone will be able to burn it?

The possibility is very good

that you can ask. Getting someone to do it, that's another story. Janet's first cd actually didn't do poorly for its time. I believe two of the three singles hit top ten on the r n' b charts. I have both of those cds, I can make you copies: $1,000 each.

I agree completely. "Janet Jackson" wasn't the massive bomb people make it. It did nothing like her future releases but it did have a couple of r&b (and I think dance too) hits. It was nothing compared to Control and afterwards, but it wasn't the across-the-board disaster people make it. But Dream Street didn't do quite so well.

Many people said that Dream Street was actually better than Janet Jackson.

Why is burning cds for free weak?

I would certainly burn a cd for a friend and not even charge for the disc.

I burn CDs for friends and family, too. I don't charge anything, either. I think it is wrong to charge for burned CDs because it isn't like downloading music for your own enjoyment it's like making profit off music that you steal from the industry.

As far as the Janet Jackson CDs go, I'm not able to help since I don't have those CDs. Is it hard to find the mp3s of the songs on the album off of Kazaa Lite? Even though it's a rare album maybe if you looked for the tracks long enough you'd be able to download them. Sorry I can't be more helpful.

That's an idea. Since I have both of those Janet cds, I could just send them as mp3 files and Janice could burn the disc herself if she wants.

Concerning burning cds for friends, 95% of the time I've done it for free, but there was a time at the height of Napster, where I made a killing. I had 10-12 sheets of paper just listing titles of all the songs I had, pass them out to co-workers and have them give me their requests for their own custom made cds. I'd design a nice case for them and everything. No one else was heavily into computers and the internet, let alone downloading music, so I had what they wanted and if I didn't have it I told them I could get it. It started out as fun but it became work, because I had alot of requests. It all just eventually died down. Even though it may seem like I'm a money grubbing whore, aside from that situation at work, I do burn cds for friends and family free of charge.
