What is "One dimensional"??? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I didn't read the review so I don't exactly know what the reviewer meant by "one dimensional." I presume he meant Redd Foxx was the only worthwhile component of the show????? The first three seasons, the show was excellent. The last season, IMHO, was kind of bad. But I try not to listen to critics or reviewers anyway. If I had a dollar for every show/movie/book/etc. that I enjoyed despite it getting a bad review (or vice versa) I would be rich!!!! I agree with some of the other observations already listed: great cast, great star, great storylines, etc. IMHO, anyway.

Yes that what the critic meant, he felt that most of the laughs on Sanford and Son came from the Fred Sanford character. And compared S&S to spinoff "Grady" and said that all the characters on that show was funny instead of just one.
