It seems to me that one reason why Fred and his mother-in-law dislike eachother so much,is because they both have simular personalities.Pear Slaghoople(mother-in-law)seems to be a lot like Fred in a sense. Her aggressive outspoken temperament is quite simular to Fred's personality.People with simular personalities like that tend not to like eachother.Apparently my father and my grandmother(his mother-in-law)never really liked eachother for that reason.

I liked the interactions between Fred and his mother-in-law. One episode that is very funny is where Fred disguises himself as a taxi driver when Wilma's mother wants to find where Fred is. That is when he takes her on bumpy roads and the long way around. He takes her to the bowling alley, pool hall, and various other places. He also bets double with his mother-in-law so he could buy a crib for the new baby. And then when they go to the library he takes his disguise off and when she finds Fred he is sitting at a table reading how to raise a child. I liked it afterwards when Barney decides to wear the disguise and asks Fred if he could borrow it. That was when Wilma's mother took the broom and chased Fred outside for fooling her.
