Talking Motivating!

This of course pertains to the show where the Brady family does the commercial for the Safe. Here's the thing. What do you think of the whole bit? Personally I've always found the whole thing CheeseWiz.

Also do real actors do this "Motivating" concept when they act? Or is is just made up.

Motivating referred to not acting natural when they did the ad but instead getting Myrna Carter to give them "dingbat acting lessons" which might be the best description I could come up with. Mr Farnum was decent though as a director but when he saw the Brady's acting stupid (Alice redid her hair & pranced around in a green dress instead of her usual uniform) in the commercial "The Gig was off!". At least the Brady's got paid: In Soap!

Riches & Glory are in the vow of faith! Send a check or money order for at least $1000, preferably to my account in Zurich; I have a ski lodge up there!

I also thought the moralizing was a bit corny; Mike's saying "We won't do the commercial cause we don't use the stuff" was unbelievable, though it made for a funny program.

It got me to wondering. Does Tiger Woods for example have to wear Nikes or Michael Jordan have to wear Hanes drawers to fulfill a contract or something when they endorse the product? Or as I suspect do they just put their name on the product when they do the ads?

Cool

Yeah, this episode is pretty cheesy, but it's one of my favorites, because of the silly lines, and because of Skip and Myrna ("Meeeeeerna").

"Now, Mom, you're over by the counter making with the greenery, and Pops, you come flippin' in and lay the flakes on the little lady."

Does Michael J Fox drink Pepsi? Did Bill Cosby eat Jello pudding and use a TI 99/4a? More on topic, did Florence Henderson use Wesson oil?
