This scene is not made up, it came from the "Frasier Scripts" book and was mentioned in the commentary of the episode on the DVD.

NOTE: This scene is shown during the "tag" of the episode, but there's no dialogue, just Kelsey Grammer singing the theme song.

Matchmaker

INT. FRASIER'S LIVING ROOM - LATE THAT EVENING - NIGHT/3

Frasier, Daphne

Frasier sits smoking and sipping cognac in the dimly lit room. Daphne enters from the hallway and sees him smoking.

Daphne: (scolding) What, not again?

Frasier: Don't worry, I disconnected the alarm.

Daphne: Pity. I have half a mind to set it off and hope the firemen are cute.

Frasier: Daphne, I want to say again...

Daphne: I know, I know. You can stop beating yourself up. I'm not mad anymore. To tell you the truth, I was touched that you made the effort.

Frasier: Thank you.

Daphne: You know, you and your father, you've been good friends to me.

Frasier: Well, when you come down to it, that's all that really counts, isn't it? People who look out for you and whom you look out for. The mutual respect and affection.

Daphne: Absolutely.

Frasier: Amen.

A moment of silence.

Daphne: Of course, it's no substitute for having your bones jumped by an expert, is it?

Frasier: Not remotely, no.

Daphne picks up a cigarette. Frasier lights it for her.

Wait, how is there no dialouge if you gave us a script??

I think she meant that in the actual episode we only see them sitting smoking during the end credits (as always - no dialogue, just the theme song) but originally there was meant to be a dialogue in that scene.

I copied the last scene from the "Frasier Scripts" book I borrowed from the library

That book has a lot of dialogue that was cut from the show, hehe!
