Default Oh, oh?! W&G may really end next year!!

Rumors Abound, Cast May Not Want 8th Season

Now while we are a site that tries to bring you news only when it's on paper, we had to post this one after getting word from a trusted Warner Bros source. There's word flying that the cast may not want a new season after this one is finished in the spring. Why may you ask? With the talks for a new season breaking down over the summer twice, script problems (specifically involving major guest stars playing themselves), no word of cast raises, and the on-going problems that have arisen between the studio and creators. Plus, many are unhappy that the show wasn't given the 8PM time slot it wanted since word of Friends departure was first confirmed, and instead was given to Joey which has had sagging ratings every week since its premiere. Whether or not this is all true has yet to be seen, as renewal talks have been set for the first week in November. We'll keep you posted as we find more.

I hope it does end this year. This show started running out of steam about two or three years ago.

It'll be unfortunate, but better to go with some dignity rather than none.

It should end this year, I agree. They've had a good run!

The thing is, it's sort of a good news/bad news thing that season 7 may be the last year.

Good news is that they're going back-to-basics this season in terms of stories and relationships, and having fewer guest stars, so at least the show will end on a higher note than, say, if they'd ended last year (a season I'm still trying to block from my memory).

Bad news is that, after two or three mediocre seasons, just as the show is FINALLY making an effort to return to its former self... it's probably ending. Isn't irony great?

Apparently, negotiations for another season are supposed to go on this week. I've heard that the cast wants to stop at season 7 and... I really think they should.

Default It should go along with That '70s Show, King of the Hill and ELR!

You know what your'e right! You know that Ashton Kutcher (Kelso) and Topher Grace (Eric) said that this season would be the last season for T70sS since their contracts end after this season. The same goes for their sister show right across the hall Will & Grace! Let's face it. If the show would go on for an 8th season, the show would become stale and would eventually suck right! Shows like That '70s Show, Will & Grace and Raymond aren't designed to go past 7th or 9th seasons. But by ending next year, you know the fact that the whole cast would be happy that the show would end on a high note instead of a whimper like Drew Carey (1995-2004) or Just Shoot Me! (1997-2003) Doesn't anyone agree?!

"W&G" has already become stale though. It may be too late.
