Sox and Yankees series. To be honest, the lineup for the Lakers and pistons is pretty even.

Not a stupid question!
Even though the Laker/Piston final was a shock, being down 3 and 0 and to come back and beat the Yanks is an incredible thing. Remember it had never been done. |

The Red Sox beating the Yankees by as far as it can go.
Baseball has had a postseason for over a century. That's 99 World Series* and 38 best-of-seven League Championship Series. And the fact that the Red Sox had been crushed 19-8 in Game 3 and it was the Yankees that had the Series lead made it extremely amazing. I hope this will teach George Steinbrenner a lesson: No matter how hard you try, you cannot buy World Championships. But I don't think this will stop him from going after Carlos Beltran. * Excludes 1904 and 1994 (no postseason) and the upcoming 2004 World Series |

There is no comparison between the two because boston was down 0-3. The Yanks/Sox series is in it's own category.
