Angry Benedict Arnold

I'm so mad about the Benedict Arnold episode! How come they think that other students in class would actually care and get so upset about someone playing Benedict Arnold in the school play? Peter's friends are so dumb that they actually think Peter himself is Benedict Arnold and they shun him like idiots.

What an unrealistic episode...but Brady Bunch is still the best!

totally agree about Peter's idiotic friends. And, as I recall (I could be wrong), but I don't think Pete even tried out for that part...I think he really wanted to play George Washington. And just because the teacher casts him as B.Arnold, his friends all turn against him. Pete should have kicked the holy crap out of all of 'em!

I think the Brady producers had a weird little obsession with Benedict Arnold. There's another episode where Marcia dates the guy who took Greg's spot on "the first-string basketball team". The title of this episode: "My Sister, Benedict Arnold". Poor Benedict -- what did he ever to do Sherwood Schwartz?

This indeed was an episode during the Oliver Curse years so it can only be CHEESEWIZ. In real life Pete's friends would have thought he was a cool dude for being Benedict. For Pete was a cool kid anyhow & to top it off they would have dissed George cause the "Father of our Country" was too old & too staid a figure; he'd a probably been boring old coot unlike that guy Norman on "Golden Pond" Amen.

And, as someone has pointed out on another web site, what was the deal with that play anyway? I mean, it was supposed to be about George Washington, and the final scene from the play begins with a narrator saying, "...George Washington went on to become President of the United States...but what became of Benedict Arnold? " Yeah, that makes sense, a play about Washington barely mentioning the fact that he became President, while going into great detail about Benedict Arnold's last moments on Earth...well, that's normal.

There is quite a few episodes where his name is mentioned. I'm not exactly sure how many but his name was used alot in the show. I also thought Peter's friends were d-u-m-b, dumb.

That episode was pretty dumb. I mean who cares that you're playing this certain guy.
