Default Mama's Girls

Did you notice in yesterday's eppie,Mama's Girls, that one of the ladies in the dance class was a contestant in the Grandma USA pageant(one of the finalists)? Her name was Belle in this eppie.

I thought she looked familiar. I love "Mama's Girls", especially the dance number they do to the Choo Choo Song at the beginning. And who doesn't enjoy Thelma calling the Insurance Guy's mama.

Here is the only picture of Betty Bunch that I could find. She was attending some function in Las Vegas. I am sure this is the same person but of course she is a lot older!

She is credited on TV Tome for that episode as well. Interesting crossover.
In the Grandma USA episode she is listed only as Contestant #1.

I've always thought that in the Grandma USA episode that she was the only contestant who really looked like a grandma. (sorry Thelma/Vicki!)

I was a grandmother at 41 and certainly didn't look it! I still don't look like one at 54 IMO My grandmother looked like an old lady at my age! So much for "the good old days"

LOL Oh I was just saying that grandma's don't necessarily look like the grandma's of yore! My Mom is 75 but she looks about 10 years younger. My grandma was an old lady at 55! My grandma was born in 1910 , my mom in 1928 and I was born in 1950. hairstyles and fashion have a lot to do with how old a person looks! I have a photo of my grandma holding me when I was a baby and she was only 40. My gosh, she looks at least 70!

Wow, we really can get off the subject can't we?

Off-topic, but you're 35 years older than me and my grandpa is 4 years younger than your grandma - he was born in 1914. He turns 90 in just over a month from now.

Your grandma was awfully young when she had your mom, by the way. But that's not surprising, since that was the norm in the first half of the 20th century. My grandma that married my grandpa born in 1914...was born in 1923 and they wed when she was 17 going on 18. My grandma was already pregnant w/ her first child when they got married, so by the time she gave birth, she had already turned 18.

That weirds me out today...because I'm 19, with no intentions of marrying and bearing children anytime soon!

My grandma was 18 when she had my Mom. My Mom was 22 when she had me and I was 19 when I had my first baby. My daughter was 21 when she had her firsty baby. My grandma died at 80 years old in 1990.

Crazy, indeed. And you were only 19?! If I got pregnant now, by the time I gave birth, I would be 20.

Yup, I got married at 18 right out of high school. That was common back then.

How times have changed. I don't want to marry til I"m at least 25 or so...My sibs are both in their 20's, and both of them have no plans to marry.

your right VivianHarmon1934. I also think the forums are a way for us to mobilize the fanbase for our favorite shows and keep them on tv.
