I was wondering, what really happened to Nicole Paggi, the actress who played oldest daughter "Sydney" on "Hope & Faith?

Was she really kicked off the show for being too old?

I thought she looked just like Faith Ford and felt the casting director casted her well in the looks department. As for being old ? I have no idea how old she is. I just think she had other commitments. Maybe her parents felt this wasn't the show for her.

Nicole has been doing guest shots on tv all her career, most recently on Judging Amy and CSI Miami. I'm surprised she hasn't had more work but I guess beautiful blondes are a dime a dozen in Hollywood. http://www.imdb.com/gallery/hh/10230...aggi,%20Nicole

I was at a taping of the show and some asked the warm up guy what happened to Nicole. And Faith Ford was standing there and they both kind of laughed and said: "ok, next question". So, maybe the producers didn't like her, or she didn't get along with the rest of the cast.

Dumping Nicloe Paggi without saying a word to anyone shows a real lack of class. On The View, when they dumped Debbie Matenopolous, at least Barbara Walters had the graciousness to announce diplomatically: "Debbie has gone on to pursue other interests." I'm going to get to the bottom of this somehow. Megan Fox is a lackluster replacement who doesn't resemble Faith Ford in the least, is not funny, and is already being phased out of the storylines.

One wonders whether Paggi herself made the change, for a few reasons:

* Perhaps she sensed the series had little long-term chance for success.

* Perhaps she was unhappy with the way the character was portrayed and written. (Certainly her replacement has done little with the stereotypical boy-crazy teen role.)

* (to me, perhaps the most logical reason) "Hope & Faith" is the only sitcom shot in New York. She may have felt more opportunities awaited her in Los Angeles, where the majority of TV/film production still resides.

I thought she was 18 or 19 years old.
