Hi everybody!
I am looking for tape copies of the pilot (and only episode made) of the Family Ties spin-off show "The Art of Being Nick", from late 80´s. I am also interested in the PBS documentary "Inside Family Ties". Both of these shows would be much appreciated in order for me to expand the site. If anyone would be able to record these for me, I would be most grateful. Please e-mail me... Please note that this posting is mostly directed to people living in the U.S., since I´m pretty sure these programs have never been aired in most countries outside of the U.S. Sincerely, Daniel Hofverberg Webmaster, Family Ties Home Page http://hem.passagen.se/danielho/FamilyTies http://familyties.virtualave.net |

I have both of those on tape. Does your vcr play NTSC format tapes? Any tapes from North America you would likely to have to get converted in order to play on your vcr unless you have one that supports both formats...
I will have sections on The Art of Being Nick and the various specials on my site soon. Check out the interview link with Scott Valentine in the where are they now section he talks about how they made three different pilots for it - very interesting stuff.. I'm interested in any episodes from original NBC airings if anyone has any to trade, cast interviews, etc.. |

Hi,
It shouldn´t be a problem. My VCR supports playback of NTSC format (as well as PAL and SECAM, I e all formats there is). I haven´t actually tried it before, but at least the manual states that the VCR will play NTSC tapes. Actually, most newer VCR´s in Europe supports playback of NTSC tapes. So I would really appreciate if you could record those two programs (The Art of Being Nick and Inside Family Ties). Sincerely, Daniel Hofverberg |
