I guess your friend never watched the credits. Mike Lookland played Bobby the whole
time. He had a hair change but that is it!

Your friend is correct. The first Bobby was played by Tommy Josepph Lindsey, and was accidentaly mauled to death by the original "Tiger" (the family dog) during the filming of the first seasons final episode. They had the dog put to sleep, and then hired Mike Lookland to fill Tommy's shoes thereafter. Before the show went in to syndication, they went back and changed the credits to give Mike Lookland credit for the first season episodes at the request of Tommy's family, who did not want Tommy's name associated with the show in any way. This is one of Hollywoods darkest secrets... i thought *everyone* knew that!

Dear Fellow Fans:

Hi,

If you said there was only one Bobby Brady you are correct. Mike Lookingland portrayed Bobby Brady for the entire link of the the sitcom. I have seen all of the episodes -- including the movie "Growing Up Brady." Now, they had several movies of "The Brady Bunch" (before Robert Reed who portrayed Mike Brady "the father" died of AIDS Complication) and the cast did change a bit with the movie versions -- and I think another actor (other than Michael "Mike" Lookingland portray Bobby Brady) in one or two of the movie versions.

But, I can say each episode line by line. I should know what I am talking about.

Please Write Soon! Wishing You and Your Family All the Very Best! Have A Peaceful, Pleasant and Safe Day! Thank You For Your Consideration and Time, Thanks Again.

Sincerely Signed,

Mindy Roberts

Hmmmm...I get the feeling that this is a joke thread, but I can't resist the temptation to cut through the jive.

The correct spelling of the actor's name is Mike Lookinland. He portrayed Bobby Brady in every episode of the original series, every episode of "The Brady Bunch Hour", the TV movie "The Brady Girls get Married", the TV movie "A Very Brady Christmas", and every episode of the final series, "The Bradys".

He supplied the voice for Bobby Brady in the animated series, "The Brady Kids".

He did not appear in the series, "The Brady Brides" but neither did the character Bobby Brady.

Jesse Lee played Bobby Brady in the two remake movies and he is the only other actor to play Bobby Brady. I don't think the remake movies count because every character was recast and these movies were intended for theatrical release not TV and they were really a satire on the originals.

All nine original actors continued their characters with the following three exceptions:

Geri Reischl played Jan Brady in the Brady Bunch Hour.

Jennifer Runyon played Cindy Brady in A very Brady Christmas.

Leah Ayers played Marcia Brady in The Bradys.

Sorry to spoil your fun with the facts.

Maybe your roommate is confusing the Brady Bunch with the Partridge Family. In the Partridge Family, the youngest boy, Christopher, was played by Jeremy Gelbwaks in the first season, but then replaced by Brian Forster for the remaining 3 seasons.

You are wrong there is no actor called Tommy Josepph Lindsey...or from what you said, was no actor called Tommy Josepph Lindsey. Even if there was it wouldn't have been kept a secret. And if you have proof. Where did you find out?

Right Partridge Family used to come on After Brady Bunch in the 70s

Only one name says Bobby in the show:

Mike Lookingland

Now stop being silly; the above post that said it was another dude (Tom) is taking the mike (that is he's a Leno wannabee)

Default "How Many Bobby's"

I haved watched all 117 episodes of "The Brady Bunch",and all I know is that there is only ONE Bobby Brady. Michael Lookinland played Bobby on the show. As for the actor that originally wanted to play Bobby,Tommy Joseph Lindsey... Well let's say I've never heard of him. That's all I Know!

"The Brady Brides" focused on Marcia, Jan, and their husbands, who all shared a house. Aside from Marcia, Jan, and Alice (who lived down the street from the brides), none of the other original cast were regulars on the new series, although Florence Henderson was a recurring guest star. So the absence of the other cast members was pretty much explained by the premise. Had the show been successful, I'm sure we would have seen the other siblings turn up in guest appearances.
