You're most likely referring to John Cheek, who disappeared in late 1993. UM ran a segent on the case in early 1994. Late last year, there was an article on his disappearance; this was acknowledged in the "UPDATES" section of this fan site. When the article was printed, it had been ten years since he vanished. Sadly, there are still no answers as what has become of Mr. Cheek.

case was always one of the saddest in my opinion next to the Clifford Sherwood disappearance where the elderly mother says "Come home my boy - I still love you" which is totally heartbreaking. But anyhow the guy and for the life of me I can't remember his name got knocked on the head in a parking lot during an attempted robbery and got amnesia and wandered around the country as a drifter
Craig Williamson - see my brain is working the name just popped up Craig Williamson - and his wife launched this massive campaign to find him because they had been only been married a few years and she was really in love with him. Through UM she did locate him in Florida I believe and he had no memory of who he was or his previous life. She tried to jog his memory with photographs and while this worked to an extent he couldn't regain his feelings for his wife and they decided to seperate. |

i do remember the man who was the fish farmer. i also remember the update being quite eerie because the wife seems so crushed that her husband was now a "different person"...

Yeah the first post is right the man was John Cheek. There was a story recently in one of the threads about him and his family is still searching for him. Also the story about the fish farmer is very creepy too. The poor wife basically lost the husband even when he was found. He had no recolection who he was or she was. It is sad but true.
