I'll bet 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment may release some season sets of St. Elsewhere soon.

This was a fantastic show with the best ensemble cast in television history IMO. It was never big in the ratings at the time- a cult show which is probably why it hasn't come out on DVD yet. It's all about how much money can be made. Which is why it is so important that people vote for it on Amazon so the studios will see there is sufficient demand to justify a DVD release!

To vote and be notified of a St. Elsewhere DVD release, just follow the link below and enter your email address in the box on the upper right of the page. It will take about two seconds of your time:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...-0584665?n=130

Also, tell a friend who liked the show to follow the link and vote as well. Hell, even if they have never heard of it, twist their arm and get 'em to do it!!

Personally I entered all of my email addresses just in case an email of the DVD release date is marked as "spam".

We need to get a campaign going to get this great show on DVD. If we just sit back the studios will do nothing. They didn't appreciate the show when it was on the air, what makes anyone think that two decades later will be any different? If we do nothing we will get nothing.

Some ideas: Post on boards such as this one. Use the amazon link to get people to vote and stress it only takes a few seconds. The time it takes to load the page and type your email address.

Another idea: There are several big stars who appeared on the show. People with clout in Hollywood. They have an interest in seeing St. Elsewhere made available to the public. They include Denzel Washington and Howie Mandel. Denzel is, of course, a huge movie star with lots of industry clout..Howie is host of the hot game show, "Deal or No Deal".

Also Bruce Paltrow who produced the show is the father of Gwyneth Paltrow- another huge moviestar.

If we can find a way to contact them and ask them to put in a good word at the studio which owns SE episodes that would go a long way towards getting it done. A letter-writing campaign or the amazon idea are fine, but they could take a long time.

The crucial thing is finding a way to get through to these stars. How do you pierce the bubble and get past the gatekeepers? I know due to the volume of mail they receive, that the likelyhood of them reading your letter is remote.

Does anyone know how to do this?
