Question Eagle Don Felder?

I was wondering where Don Felder is? I noticed that the Eagles hit last year "Hole in the World" was missing guitarist Don Felder. I read somewhere that he was fired. Does anyone know if this is true?

For some reason Don is still having problems with the guys in the band. I think it was right after the "Hell Freezes Over" tour that problems started to surface. I it had to do with song writing royalties or something like that.

Hope that helps to shed a little light on where Don is.

I remember that Don Felder issued a solo album in 1984, Airborne, but it didn't go anywhere.

Thanks for the help. That does't surprise me. I just read a book about the Eagles and Don Felder and Henley & Frey didn't really get along very well. I think it had a lot to do with Don Felder being jealous of Henley/Frey being the "leaders" of the band and not letting him or Randy Meisnger/Timothy Schmidt write very many of the songs. Don Henley and Felder were okay, but Frey & Felder hated each other towards the end in 1980. I read that Felder smashed an acoustic guitar at Glenn's head at one point at the end of a concert.

Don Felder joined the Eagles by accident. He was brought in during the recording of 1974's On the Border to play guitar for a session, and the band - original members Frey, Henley, Meisner and Bernie Leadon - liked his sharp playing so much, they asked him to join the group right there and then. Felder, of course, accepted.

Felder wrote (or co-wrote) and sang lead on "Visions," from One of These Nights in 1975.

Felder and Henley wrote "Visions". It was Felders only lead vocal
on an Eagles song.

Don Felder had a hit "Heavy Metal (Takin' A Ride)", which reached #43 on the Billboard pop charts in the latter half of 1981. Great song!
