Default "Pookie Poo"

Remember that episode with Cousin Raymond/Silky Slim of Uptown Saturday Night. I wonder what ever happened to Calvin Lockhart. Of course he ended up being like James' buddy. Not being able to hold onto money. Why would he give Florida keys to a brand new home, only to get wiped out, losing about 80,000.00?

That was a good episode. That is kind of strange giving Florida keys to a new home and losing $80,000. Last time I saw Calvin Lockhart, he made a brief cameo on "Coming to America."

you know, i've often wondered the same thing. in my large extended family, we all have are we all don't have. there is no way one of my family members is going to be living in the projects and we own a home and have a ton of disposable income just laying around. they didn't get kicked down AT ALL.

but every family is different. but at least they wouldn't have to worry about getting their lights cut out or their $104 rent not being paid. come on, one of these rich cousins/uncles whoever coulda just given them that money.

BUT the killer was when people would loan them money. you don't loan your family that kind of money if they are doing that poorly. you call it a loan for their pride's sake, but never ask for it back or refuse to accept it back.

odd...

Yeah, I'd forgotten about that. Edgar was pissed, wasn't he. I like the way he kept saying "Betty", as giving her a hint to keep quiet about their problems. "Wrong Betty, dead wrong". "I don't have any prospects". And silly JJ feeding him drinks.

yea, i felt bad for ole edgar. riding around and sitting in his car acting like he's got interview lined up.

but betty is still thinking they have it like that and it's just a minor slump for their financials. LOL.

he went off on her in front of everybody and then just left. kills me that james almost found humor in the fact that people "at the top" have probs just like him at the bottom.
