Default Is it really necessary for a Female with kids to say that she is.....

a HOMEBODY?-LOL I mean it's quite obvious why she is a homebody if she is a single mother. I'm asking because my friend told me recently that he met a girl who said she was a homebody after stating she had two kids. She had to know that was a very dumb statement.

Why is it dumb? Just because she's single with 2 kids, doesn't automatically make her a homebody

Would he rather she lie and say does such and such instead of being a homebody?

Statements like that is probably why your friend is still single

There is absolutely nothing wrong with that statement

What I'm trying to say is a single mother doesn't need to give an explanation as to why she is home a lot. On the other hand, a female without kids has to give a reason why she is home all the time because there is nothing stopping her from leaving the house.

When I had no kids I would stay home the same! Just because I'm a woman doesn't mean that I have to be out and about. There's nothing wrong with being a homebody

Yeah, I don't think having kids or not defines you as a homebody. A homebody is more just anyone who prefers to stay home.

You are right, there is nothing wrong with being a homebody. What I'm saying is a single mother doesn't have say that she is a homebody because the guy she is telling it to will already know because women with kids are not able to get out as much as a women without kids.

That's true but i don't know too many single mothers who are able to go out whenever they want.

So what's your poin t? A single woman should have a 'social life' because of the standards that society has labeled her? There are too many things 'out there' that prevents any single woman this days not to be a homebody.

No i'm not saying a single woman wihout kids should be out and about, i just thought it was funny that a single mother said she was a homebody because most single mothers don't get out that much to start with.

Euh, okay... but the fact that some single mothers are not homebodies makes it normal for her to say that she is one. It's not like there is a direct correlation between the two. You can't just assume these things, even if they are more common, because it's not always that way.
