Favorite Tender Moments

What are your fav. tender moments, of the show? One I remember seeing a long time ago, was where Willis was trying to get Arnold to fight The Gooch. Mr. Drummond did'nt approve of it, and Willis was going to run away. Then, Arnold talked him out of it, and the brothers hugged. Then they had a pillow fight with Mr. D.

Maggie giving Kimberly her grandmother's necklace right before the wedding and telling Kimberly how glad she was to have her as a daughter
Maggie's goodbye speech to Willis right before he left for college-saying that even though she hadn't raised him from birth she loved him and wished him the best as if she had.

I don't remember that one.Which episode is that?
There were so many tender moments in the show, to single one or two or three...out is unfair. I would have to watch them all again (but I don't have them all).

It's not a tender moment as such(well, it's tough and tender at the same time), but Arnold on his mother's grave is very emotional That episode was actually really well-written (Arnold's reaction to the birthday tape etc).

I agree about there being alot of tender moments. I love the Memories episode-tough and tender at the same time.
The necklace scene is in Wedding part 1 (season 6) and the scence with Willis and Maggie was in Willis Goes to College (season 8).
Another is in Lifestyles of the Poor and Unknown (season 8). The main plot is how this boy at Sam's school picks on Sam and makes fun of him and his family. Turns out that the kid is a foster kid who is jealous of Sam. Willis helps Sam see why this kid acts this way by reminding him about his and Arnolds past and how things could have turned out for them if Mr. D hadn't adopted htem. Then Sam becomes more sympathetic. The subplot is that a TV show is doing a show to promote Maggie and Maggie's product line and the host is this cold lady named Summer who only cares about ratings. Arnold is on a field trip and not in this scene but Mr. D, Willis, and Sam are asked to comment on what kind of person Maggie is. Sam says he is lucky to have a mom cuz his friend Kurt doesn't and that people should adopt and older child from foster care. The most tender moment comes from Willis who is sitting on the same couch as Maggie and moves closer to her, puts his arm around her and says that she's wonderful and that he loves her like she's his real mom. Awww. The whole shoot turns into a public service message about adopting foster children. This lady was so cold she didn't want them mentioning that part of the proceeds from the sale of the product line were going to some charity (nothing to do with foster children).

I barely remember the latter episodes you mentioned.They sound interesting. I saw them all, but I'd like to watch the latter seasons again. They get a lot of criticism, and sometimes rightfully so, but I see this show as a whole.A budget DVD boxset with every season in it would have been a worthwhile project a few years ago! Now that the formats are dying, I doubt they will ever see the light of day...

I agree about Mrs. Garretts crisis. Awwww!! I bought the whole series on DVD from an overseas company. It's hard to find those later seasons on DVD or You Tube.
