In what order would you rank these 4 Norman Lear Classics? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Good Times, Jeffersons, Sanford and Son and All in the Family.

I always felt that Good Times and the Jeffersons was more explosive than Sanford and Son and All in the Family. So i would rank

1.Jeffersons
2.Good Times
3.Sanford and Son/All in the Family

I like all of those shows. The Jeffersons would probably be ahead of Good Times though but I've only seen 1 season of the Jeffersons.

I highly recommend that you buy the first season of the Jeffersons on DVD; it was definitely one of the show's best seasons...

I have it in my amazon shopping cart. I'm gonna buy it soon though. Was it better than season 2?

Yeah i defintely was better than season 2. George was just a completely different character in season 1 than in any other season during the show. He was louder, and his temper was much shorter.

The best thing about the first season of The Jeffersons was...having Mike Evans playing Lionel Jefferson, instead of that hideous geek Damon Evans (and NO, there is no relation between the actors)...

If George was louder in season 1 then I definitely have to get season 1 soon

yeah, i always liked the original Lionel when he was on all in the family. I didn't care for the Damon Evans Lionel .
